We register our clients and create their medical records (Medical History file) in which we document their complete medical history, general physical examination, systemic examination, necessary laboratory investigation, radiological investigations, and their plan of management. Job Summary

The C.T-scan/MRI Technician operates a Computed Tomography (CT) scanner or Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) equipment to capture images to aid in patient diagnoses. Performs basic to highly complex MRI/CT scans according to established protocols.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Performs basic and highly complex MRI/C.T-SCAN scans according to established protocols.
  • Identifies patient service requirements by establishing personal rapport with potential and actual patients and other persons in a position to understand service requirements. Gains patient cooperation by reducing anxieties; providing explanations of treatment; and answering questions.
  • Prepares patient for radiological procedure by positioning patient, adjusting immobilization devices, moving equipment into specified position, and adjusting equipment controls to set exposure factors.
  • Maintains production and quality of radiographs by following established standards and procedures; processing radiographs; observing radiographic results; and making necessary adjustments.
  • Evaluate images before the release of the patient to ensure quality.
  • Documents patient care services by charting in patient and department records (including the completion and verification of exams.
  • Ensures operation of radiology equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements, following manufacturer's instructions, troubleshooting malfunctions, calling for repairs, maintaining equipment inventories, and evaluating new equipment and techniques. Informs appropriate personnel of any equipment failure and documents type of problem and any associated downtime.
  • Maintains radiology supplies inventory by checking stock to determine inventory level and anticipating needed supplies.
  • Maintains a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
  • Maintains professional and technical knowledge by maintaining regulatory CME requirements. Attends educational workshops; reviews professional publications; establishes personal networks; and participates in professional societies.
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
  • All C.T-scan/MRI technologists are required to inject IV contrast.
  • Certified inject technologists must be able to complete injection tasks as per protocol.

Job Requirements

  • Computer skills: knowledge of Microsoft Office and other relevant computer programs
  • Qualifications
  • Diploma degree in a scientific field required
  • 3-5 years of experience working in a C.T-scan/MRI
