A--The scope of work:
Is to train UNFPA CO staff to produce audio/visual reports from the field and to produce audio/visual contents for the website.
The training should provide basic skills on digital storytelling, photography, video shooting,
audio recording, video and audio editing.
Outputs
a. Preparing training contents and training learning material in English and Dari
b. Conduct a basic level training of 20 - 25 hours
c. Conduct an advanced level training of 56 – 60 hours
d. Finalize the production of 3-5 video clips of 3-6 minutes long each for the UNFPA CO
website
Detailed responsibilities
1.Upon his/her arrival, within the first 2 – 3 days of his work, the consultant is required to develop two different sets of training curricula/handouts for basic and advanced multimedia techniques, (i.e. one for the basic training and one for the advanced),
2.This curricula should address the needs of UNFPA staff who will attend the two trainings and meet the purpose of the training,
3.Begin the first phase of the training (basic) which should be completed between 20 to 25 hours. This will happen on different days based on the availability of UNFPA participating staff,
4.After successful completion of the first phase, begin the second phase of the training
(advanced) for the Information and Communication Staff. The advanced training should
take 50 to 60 hours of time and will take place based on the availability of the
Information and Communication staff,
5.The Consultant will be required to assist the Information and Communication
department with other duties during his/her free time,
6.Along the training the trainer should produce 3-5 video clips of 3-5 minutes long each
for the website, and
7.The training material developed will remain UNFPA property, and the consultant is
required to submit a detailed report of his/her work at the end of his/her one month
consultancy.

Mandatory Skills and Experience:
Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Journalism or other related field
5 years of experience in multimedia production
1 year of teaching experience
Proved experience with editing software like premiere, moviemaker and audacity
Proven experience with photo and video equipment like canon G12 digital camera and
Sony HDR – FX 1000E digital camera
2 years of experience in the field of journalism
Strong interpersonal and communication Skills
