Duties & Responsibilities

1. Expert level knowledge on network protocols, platforms, design best practices, testing, development, and standardization of technologies, products, tools, and protocols. Cleary and concisely communicates, documents, and trains others on standards and best practices. The NCE shall be proficient with Cisco routing, switching, VOIP, ASA, WLC, troubleshooting and provide networking support at the tier 3, and tier 4 level.In-depth knowledge of dynamic routing protocols (OSPF, BGP4, EIGRP) and enterprise class switch and router management as well as switch fabric design, configuration, and management.

2. In-depth knowledge of TCP/IP, IP Routing, MPLS, HSRP, VRRP, BGP4, OSPF, SSL VPN, QoS, RSA authentication, SNMP, POS, PPP, NAT/PAT, TACACS+, NAC, DS3, and OC-x. Thorough understanding of LAN Switching on Layer 2 and layer 3, including VLANs, Private VLANs, Trucking, Ether channel, VTP, and STPare required.

3. Familiarity with enterprise firewall management across multiple platforms including Cisco, Juniper, FortiNet, SonicWall and including Secure Computing, Microsoft ISA 2006, Network Access Control (in-band and out-of-band), WAN Technologies (DS & OC circuits, MPLS/BGP/VRF, VPN over internet –IPSEC /GRE/DVPN); WAN cache & compression technology, DHCP, and DNS servers’ management. Strong knowledge of digital voice including VoIP and video communications (SIP, H.323 bridged, point-to-point, streaming).

4. Extensive experience with deploying enterprise network management using open source tools. Knowledge of popular Linux distributions, e.g. RedHat, CentOS, and Ubuntu. Knowledge of various techniques of resource and system optimization on the Linux platform. Knowledge of network protocols, e.g. HTTP(S), SMTP, SMB, RPC, TFTP, SNMP, DHCP. Strong scripting knowledge using Bash, Perl, Python, and/or Ruby. Exceptional presentation skills for both internal and external customers.

5. Organized implementation and post implementation problem solving and troubleshooting skills. Ability to work independently to accomplish desired goals and objectives as well as in a team environment to solve complex technical challenges. Performs other duties as required.
(a) The NE shall be responsible for installation, configuration, and operation of all Global Technology Network equipment within their area of responsibility. This includes, but is not limited to Cisco Routers/Switches, bridges, firewalls, wireless bridges/access points, Universal Power Supplies, VoIP Call Managers, and Video Teleconferencing Equipment.

(b) The NE shall be proficient with Cisco Networking and provide networking support at the tier 2, and tier 3 level.

(c) The NE shall ensure that all network configuration changes are coordinated thru the Global Technology CCB prior to implementation.

(d) The NE shall report and coordinate all troubleshooting and fault isolation with the NMIAC via the Global Technology Network Trouble Ticket Database.

(e) The NE shall ensure that all equipment within their area of responsibility is maintained by proper preventative maintenance as prescribed by the PM.

(f) The NE shall be knowledgeable in the performance of all devices within their region (i.e. CPU Load, Memory Usage, Hard Drive Space, Processes, and Event Viewer). Any metric out of Global Technology Network Baseline Standards will be reported via the Global Technology Network Troubleshooting Database and troubleshooting steps will be conducted to rectify.

(g) The NE shall ensure that all equipment within their area of responsibility is maintained accurately in the Global Technology Network Inventory Database.

(h) The NE shall provide and implement technical expertise in troubleshooting and restoring issues concerning the Global Technology Network’s Cisco Routers/Switches, bridges, firewalls, wireless bridges/access points, Universal Power Supplies, VoIP Call Managers, and Video Teleconferencing Equipment.

(i) The NE shall ensure that all routers, switches and networking devices are operating within the prescribed standards set by the Global Technology Network Baseline of Standards. Any discrepancies (unusually high memory usage or unknown service/process) shall be reported to the NMIAC immediately and annotated in the Global Technology Network Troubleshooting Database.

(j) The NE shall ensure that all actions taken in troubleshooting issues concerning the Global Technology Network’s Cisco Routers/Switches, bridges, firewalls, wireless bridges/access points, Universal Power Supplies, VoIP Call Managers, and Video Teleconferencing Equipment are documented in the Global Technology Networks Trouble Ticket Database.

(k) The NE shall ensure that all NMIAC Cisco, OS, and Software Patches are installed by the no later than time stated by the CCB.

(l) The NE shall ensure the maintenance of the Global Technology Network’s Cisco Routers/Switches, bridges, firewalls, wireless bridges/access points, Universal Power Supplies, VoIP Call Managers, and Video Teleconferencing Equipment.

(m) The NE shall ensure that there are backups of all router and switch configuration files in accordance with the Global Technology Network Information Assurance Standard Operating Procedures.

(n) The NE shall be given full network Enterprise Administrator level Privileges as prescribed by duties.

Job Requirements


Must be MCSE and CCIE certified

Bachelor degree in information technology is preferable

Should have at least 6 years experience

Should be fluent in English language

Salary Benefit:
The company has salary increment of 30% added to your current/previous contract (salary) for those who successful passes in interview .
