Afghanistan International Bank (Incorporated in March 2004) is the first private bank in the country promoted by Asian Development Bank (ADB) and some of the prominent business houses of the country headquartered at Kabul. Designing, implementing, monitoring and managing the local and wide area networks to ensure maximum uptime for users. This includes designing system configurations, documenting and managing the installation of a new network, and maintaining and upgrading existing systems as necessary, and resolving issues that Helpdesk have escalated.
1. Designing and implementing new network solutions and/or improving network efficiency
2. Installing, configuring and supporting network equipment including routers, proxy servers, switches, WAN accelerators, DNS and DHCP
3. Procuring network equipment and managing vendors involved with network installation
4. Configuring firewalls, routing and switching to maximize network efficiency and security
5. Maximizing network performance through ongoing monitoring and troubleshooting
6. Arranging scheduled upgrades
7. Investigating faults in the network
8. Updating network equipment to the latest firmware releases
9. Reporting network status to key stakeholders
10. Resolve issues that Helpdesk have escalated within service levels.
11. Ensure network security and connectivity.
12. Monitor network performance (availability, utilization, throughput, goodput, and latency) and test for weaknesses.
13. Create, oversee and test security measures (e.g. access authentication and disaster recovery).
14. Maintain complete technical documentation.
15. Suggest improvements to network performance, capacity and scalability.
1. Minimum of Bachelor Degree in the Information Sciences
2. Professional certification (e.g. CCIE)
