The NOC Technician role at Ankabut ISP is at the forefront of ensuring uninterrupted network operations and delivering top-tier technical support to our customers. Operating in a 24/7 shift capacity, this position is pivotal in monitoring network health, swiftly addressing incidents, troubleshooting issues, and supporting our infrastructure. Candidates will work collaboratively within a dynamic team environment, leveraging their networking knowledge, problem-solving acumen, and strong communication skills to maintain the integrity and security of Ankabut ISP's network.
1. 24/7 Network Monitoring: Continuously monitor the Ankabut ISP network and associated systems to identify and respond to network issues, outages, and performance degradation promptly.
2. Incident Management: Efficiently manage and resolve incidents, service requests, and technical issues reported by customers, internal teams, or automated monitoring systems. Escalate issues to higher levels of support when necessary.
3. Troubleshooting: Identify, diagnose, and troubleshoot network and infrastructure problems, including hardware, software, and connectivity issues. Perform root cause analysis and implement solutions to prevent recurrence.
4. Infrastructure Support: Provide technical support for Ankabut ISP's network equipment, servers, routers, switches, and other infrastructure components.
5. Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation of incidents, procedures, and troubleshooting steps. Update network diagrams and documentation as needed.
6. Shift Work: Work in shifts as part of a 24/7 team to ensure round-the-clock coverage and support for network operations.
7. Alert Handling: Respond to alerts and alarms generated by network monitoring tools and take appropriate actions to resolve or escalate issues.
8. Communication: Effectively communicate with customers, internal teams, and management to provide status updates on ongoing incidents and ensure transparency in incident resolution.
9. Security Compliance: Adhere to security policies and procedures to maintain the integrity and security of Ankabut ISP's network infrastructure.
· Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent work experience).
· Proven experience working in a Network Operations Center (NOC) environment.
· Strong understanding of networking concepts, protocols, and technologies.
· Familiarity with network monitoring and diagnostic tools.
· Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
· Ability to work effectively in a team and independently.
· Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
· Willingness to work in shifts, including nights and weekends.
· Relevant certifications (e.g., CCNA, CompTIA Network+) would be a plus.
