Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) Specialist to join our maintenance department. The NDT Technician will be responsible for performing various non-destructive tests to ensure the integrity and safety of our equipment and structures. This role involves using advanced testing methods to detect defects or irregularities without causing damage, ensuring that all machinery and materials meet company standards.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Selects the NDT technique for the test method to be used;
• Defines the limitations of application of the testing method;
• Translates NDT codes, standards, specifications and procedures into NDT instructions adapted to
• the actual working conditions; set up and verify equipment settings;
• Performs work as per recognized procedures;
• Manage and monitor work performed by trainees or specialists of Level I (if applicable);
• Performs and supervise tests and complete NDT report;
• Understands and evaluate results according to applicable standards, codes, Specifications or Procedures.
• Follows written NDT instructions.

Job Requirements

• To be at least 23 years of age.
• Bachelor degree or diploma degree in aviation or related field;
• Be qualified as Level II or Level III by the outside agency or responsible Level 3 for correspondent NDT method in accordance with EN 4179 (Liquid penetrant (PT), Magnetic particle (MT) Thermography (IRT), Eddy current (ET), Ultrasonic (UT), Radiography (RT) and Stereography (ST);
• Hold valid NDT Training Certificate law standard EN 4179 Level 2 (at least) for certain NDT method(s);
• 3 years working experience in related field and specific aircraft type as A340 or B737CL is a plus.
• Qualified in accordance with the EN4179/NAS 410 requirements in the sought scope of approval
• (L1, L2 or L3);
• Minimum of twelve months between each NDT methods rating release attested refresher course
• every five years;
• Knowledge of relevant industry standards and regulations;
• Human Factors Training (Module '9');
• Aviation Legislation Training (Module '10');
• Attend and pass Fuel Tank Safety level 2 CDCCL & Electrical Wiring Interconnection System EWIS training.

Skills:

• Have English Read/Write skill enough to read manuals/procedures and fill-in documentation.
• Written and spoken Pashto and Dari is a plus;
• Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities;
• Strong attention to detail and analytical skills;
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment;
• Have the ability to read and understand all the aircraft technical/ structural manual;
• Should be able to understand performing /application of EO, AD, SB etc;
