Job Summary

The incumbent of the position will have the overall responsibility to NT- HLR system.

Duties & Responsibilities

1.Perform routine O&M tasks on the STP/SBC/NT-HLR platforms.
2.SPT/SBC/NT HLR, operation, support, implementation, troubleshooting
3.STP/SBC/HLR health checks analysis and reports.
4.Generating STP/SBC/NT-HLR daily Report
5.Taking care of Cases opened with vendors Huawei/NSN/ZTE
6.Monitoring and analyzing all Logs from @com/SG7000/NETNUMEN
7.Response to any complaint related to SPT/SBC/HLR from other teams (especially HLR provisioning team)
8.Monitoring and Handling the Network Alarms of all SPT/SBC/HLR Core entities (Deployed NWD).
9.Timely intimation to concerned teams about the service outages to handle customer complaints.
10.Level-1 / Level-II O&M of all STP/SBC/HLR core entities.
11.Monitoring & Management of STP/SBC/NT-HLR In house developed Application (HPI / Alarm System / Transaction Logs)
12.Execution of work orders with appropriate procedures.
13.SS7 integration on STP, International calls issue and HLR subscribers’ complaints handling reported through feedback team.( back office or HLR provisioning)
14.Pro-active measures for upcoming possible network risks.
15.Implementation of network changes through proper change control system.
16.STP/SBC/NT-HLR Databases Audit for removal of Data corruptions.
17.Perform O&M support tasks on the STP/SBC/NT-HLR platforms.
18.Ensure that the SS7 interface between network elements connected to the STP/SBC/NT-HLR are functioning fault-free and without congestion at all times -Ensure that trouble tickets are generated for all STP/SBC/NT-HLR related faults and incidents and that the concern teams are kept informed of such.
19.Identify and troubleshoot any SS7 signaling compatibility issues between the network nodes.
20.Performance measurements and capacity planning for all the switches and the STP/SBC/NT-HLR to ensure congestion is not encountered as the network expands.
21.Participate in test and fault investigation activities of STP/SBC/NT – HLR and related nodes.
22.Participate in CRQ and upgrade/enhancement activities as required by Customer Switch Manager/ Operations Director. -Ensure that regular Backups are taken for all STP/SBC/NT-HLR elements.
23.Keep adequate documentation of all CRQ’s and upgrades executed on the live system STP/SBC/NT-HLR.
24.Extract Performance Data, Management Reports and Alarm logs for delivery to the teams that need them.
25.Ensure that regular Backups are taken for all entities STP/SBC/NT-HLR elements and logs.

Job Requirements

1-University degree in computer science or any other relevant field and a Master degree will be an added advantage.
2-Minimum 3 years’ experience in relevant field.
3-Good written and verbal communication skills in Dari or Pashto and English.

Candidate should by a highly motivated, dynamic and resourceful individual with excellent track record. Practically adept at using his own initiative and utilizing analytical skills to solve problems.
