Job Summary

This position will provide key IYCF messages to PLW, caregivers, screening under five years old children and PLW for SAM and MAM cases. Consulting PLW women on breastfeeding, and registering and recording all cases correctly and completely.

Duties & Responsibilities

•   Providing Nutrition consulting for individual and groups at the Mobile health and nutrition team center & Community,

•   Conducting health education sessions and awareness sessions for beneficiaries,

•   Scaling up of children under 5 years old for Wight and height.

•   Conducting consultation session for pregnant women and feeding mothers regarding the nutrition.

•   Involvement in trainings and cascading to other health staff.

•   Active participating in supervisions and meetings with field supervisor, midwife and & MHNT team.

•   Conducting screening for PLW and children by (MUAC).

•   Distributing of RUTF and RUSF for SAM and MAM diagnosed children.

•   Recording the information of patients and interpreting it on the appropriate formats.

•   Preparing and submitting the activity report as monthly and quarterly.

•   Performing other assigned task by the project in charge.

Job Requirements

•  Attention to details & Technical Skills.

•  Good communication skills.

•  Accountability.

•   Writing, Reading and strong listening Skills.

•   Creativity, Initiative, and ability to work with minimal supervision.

•   Effective medical practitioner skills and self-confident.

•   Graduated from Recognized Intermediate Institute

•   1 Years’ experience in BPHS health care services as a Nutrition counselor.

•   Ability to communicate effectively in local languages verbally and in writing.

•   Be able to work under pressure with tight deadline

• Very good interpersonal communication skills

•   Must be capable of working both individually and as part of a team to undertake tasks in a fast-paced environment.
