Terre des hommes Lausanne (Tdh) is a Swiss child welfare foundation, providing assistance and protection to vulnerable population worldwide. Tdh has been working in Afghanistan since 1995 and carry out projects related to Child Protection, Access to Justice, Mother and Child Health and Livelihood Programs in Kabul, Herat, Takhar, Nangarhar, Laghman and Kunar provinces.

Job Summary

To make sure the offices & guest house are clean and everything is in its proper

Duties & Responsibilities

• Ventilate the offices
• Dust the surfaces of all furniture
• Mop the floor
• Empty the waste bins
• Wash the dishes, clean the cooker, and any other kitchen equipment
• Clean the all toilets, shower and sink with detergent
• Check that the toilets are well stocked with toilet paper
• Clean all the tables, chairs, windows and desks
• Clean inside the kitchen cupboards and fridge
• Make sure that clean glasses are available at all time
• Wash and change the towel every 2 days and hang it in every bathrooms
• Clean all the office’s rooms and corridor
• Wash the curtains, towels and etc…..
• Clean the every day
• Assist the cook in cleaning the kitchen whenever required
• Cook food for the office staff when the cook is on leave or absent.
• Make sure that all the office items are in its proper place.
• Assist the cook in the main office in food distribution whenever there is a workshop, farewell party or any other event.
• Make sure that the office yard is clean.
• To perform any other related task assigned by the supervisor.

Child safety policy:

• The Child Protection Policy will be honoured and implemented throughout Tdh operations, and promoted with its partners;
• Commit to inform the Senior Management of any allegations or possibility of transgression, even potential, of the Child Protection Policy according to Tdh’s raising concerns format;

Job Requirements

• Be able to read and write basically
• 3 years of experience in office cleaning field
• Have ability of cooking and replace the cook on her absence
• Thoroughness and rigorousness
• Dynamic, flexible/adaptable
• Sense of responsibility and care
• Literacy & counting
• Honest and
