Job Summary

The incumbent will work closely with the Finance department and other relevant stakeholders to maintain accurate payroll records and ensure compliance with all applicable regulations.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Process payroll for all employees, including permanent, temporary, and contract staff.
  • Calculate and process wages, deductions, and taxes in compliance with Afghan labor laws and company policies.
  • Prepare and distribute payroll checks or direct deposits to employees.
  • Maintain accurate employee payroll records, including time and attendance information, leave balances, and deductions.
  • Ensure compliance with Afghan labor laws, including minimum wage requirements, overtime regulations, and social security contributions.
  • Prepare and submit required government payroll reports to the relevant authorities.
  • Respond to employee inquiries and resolve payroll issues promptly.
  • Assist with year-end payroll processes, including the preparation of W-2 forms and other required documents.
  • Stay updated on changes in Afghan labor laws and regulations that affect payroll processing.
  • Assist with other HR-related tasks as needed.


Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Accounting, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in payroll processing, preferably in Afghanistan.
  • Strong knowledge of Afghan labor laws and regulations.
  • Proficiency in payroll software and systems.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Experience with international payroll processing.
  • Fluency in Dari and Pashto.
