The Physiotherapist is the responsible of physiotherapy service at clinics according to given guide lines. S/he will administer physiotherapy services to clients, giver referrals and is responsible for the record-keeping, follow-up and reporting on activities in the physiotherapy clinic. The Physiotherapist reports to the Head of Physiotherapy.

• To treat those disabled and none disabled people in the area of who need physiotherapy either at home or in clinic.
• To manage the Physiotherapy care of patient, including patient assessment treatment planning and implementation for those conditions and disabilities prevalent area.
• To assess the disabled people identified by CBR-workers and community volunteers in the community who may need physiotherapy.
• To express good empathy, safety and competence in the handling of disabled and non-disabled physiotherapy related patient.
• To follow up the disabled people who have been referred to other rehabilitation sources.
• To participate in internal RAD-Project coordination meetings.
• To advise on suitable technical aids to the CBR-Workers and community volunteers and Family Trainers.
• To write prescriptive report regarding his/her activities on regular basis and submits to the head of Physiotherapy.
• Home visit should be conducted regularly in accordance to planned time table, which should be made in consultation and coordination with CBR-Workers and community volunteers.
• To keep clinic and it’s instrument clean and tidy and store all equipments in a safe way.
• To provide necessary awareness in relation to disabilities and prevention of disability for the PwDs, their family and the community.
• To assist in supervision of staff in physiotherapy clinic.
• To oversee and guide the implementation of physiotherapy activities in the clinic.
• To monitor supervise, advice and support the PTAs activities who is working with him/her in the same district.
• To supervise and support CBR-Workers and community volunteers during HBT-program especially in physical rehabilitation of disabled people.
• To organise Physiotherapy clinics arrangement and cleaning
• To share his/ her knowledge and experience with relevant colleagues and train CBR-Workers, community volunteers and family trainers in the required therapy/procedures.
• Graduated from 12th Grade and certified two years physiotherapy training.
• Minimum two years work as a physiotherapist with recognised Institution/ Organisation.
• Good communication skill (written and spoken) of Pashto, Dari knowledge of English an advantage.
• Strong interest in the disability issues and physiotherapy.
• Innovative, creative and honest personality.
• Very good technical skills.
• Ability to listen to others in a supporting and promoting manner.
• Ability to travel and live at Rehabilitation of Afghans with Disabilities (RAD) project sites within Afghanistan.
