Job Summary

Under the Direct Supervision of Senior Civil Engineer, Planning, scheduling & primavera expert is responsible forthe Functions related to the Planning, scheduling & primavera expert operations of MoMP, Including Responsible for providing guidance and support to the projects team. The Scheduler & Primavera Expert will be responsible for the development and maintenance of a comprehensive loaded project schedule during the project execution and close-out phases. Through these stages, he/she will gather and interpret data from a variety of sources, and throughout the projects life cycle, will determine problematic variances and will influence and advise the project team on corrective actions when necessary.

Duties & Responsibilities

1. Responsible for providing guidance and support to the projects team. The Scheduler & Primavera Expert will be responsible for the development and maintenance of a comprehensive loaded project schedule during the project execution and close-out phases. Through these stages, he/she will gather and interpret data from a variety of sources, and throughout the projects life cycle, will determine problematic variances and will influence and advise the project team on corrective actions when necessary.
2. Project Scheduler & Primavera Expert will manage all activities associated with Project planning, scheduling, forecasting, monitoring and critical path analysis.
3. Lead and Manage in the planning process at the front-end of Project and assignments.
4. Conduct planning sessions as required.
5. Manage the development of Master and Detailed Schedule for all phases of the Project (design/engineering, approvals, procurement, construction, testing, start-up and commissioning).
6. Monitor, analyze, and forecast on a regular basis.
7. Prepare Gantt (bar) charts, look-ahead schedules, resource histograms, and other charts and S-curves.
8. Ensure suitable schedule data alignment to support project defined reporting requirements.
9. Produce integrated cash flow histograms and S-curves for resource loaded schedules.
10. Produce Logic Diagrams and Time-scaled Logic Diagrams as required.
11. Review, analyze, and monitor Contractor, Vendor, and Owner schedules for schedule compliance.
12. Report any schedule deviations and recommend corrective actions.
13. Provide input to weekly and monthly reports including narratives, schedule updates, forecasting, trending, analysis and corrective action.
14. Expedite, review and approve Contractor and Vendor schedules, to ensure plans are realistic and achievable.
15. Incorporate Contractor and Vendor schedules into Master Schedule.
16. Incorporate Client milestones and schedules into the Project Schedules.
17. Work with Project Managers and Contractor to develop and monitor project schedule.
18. Assist in the preparation of Corporate and Project processes and procedures for developing, implementing and monitoring schedules.
19. Claims review analysis and recommendations.
20. Earned Value Analysis (EVA) and reporting.
21. Work with other Project team members in a multi-tasking environment and facilitate in implementing the project objectives.
22. Inspect existing facilities and prepare detailed schedules.

Job Requirements

 Qualified from BSc. Engineering
 4 - 6 years’ experience in planning and scheduling
 Extensive experience of Primavera P3 and P6
 Experience in training and capacity building
 Fluency in Pashto & Dari and English
 Detail-oriented, honest and responsible
 Excellent communication skills
 Computer skills and experience in spreadsheets and database systems desired
 Ability to learn quickly, strong self-training readiness
