Purpose: The goal for this department in Tamkeen is to play a key role in researching and identifying the organization’s technology requirements and needs, this department must balance the long-term needs of Tamkin alongside its immediate one to ensure all support activities are carried on efficiently and effectively to allow the other departments to function properly.

Position Summary

We are seeking a dynamic and charismatic Podcast Presenter to host a podcast focused on interviewing influential figures who contribute to fostering peace, investment, and socio-economic development in Afghanistan. The ideal candidate will engage with high-profile guests, craft compelling narratives, and deliver insightful and inspiring conversations that resonate with national and global audiences.

Duties & Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

• Host Podcast Episodes: Serve as the primary presenter, moderating discussions and ensuring smooth, engaging conversations.
• Guest Management: Collaborate with the production team to identify, approach, and schedule influential figures as podcast guests.
• Content Development: Conduct in-depth research to prepare thoughtful questions and talking points tailored to each guest.
• Interview Execution: Lead interviews with professionalism, tact, and cultural sensitivity, even on sensitive topics.
• Audience Engagement: Create a relatable and engaging on-air presence to captivate listeners and encourage audience participation.
• Collaboration: Work closely with producers, editors, and the marketing team to ensure high-quality episodes.
• Promotional Activities: Participate in promotional campaigns, including social media engagement, live Q&A sessions, and event appearances.
• Technical Contributions: Assist with basic recording and sound setup when necessary.
• Post-Episode Follow-Up: Provide input for promotional materials and maintain relationships with guests for future collaborations.

Job Requirements

Required Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Journalism, Communication, International Relations, or a related field (preferred).
• Passion for Growth: Interest in podcast production and storytelling with a willingness to learn and grow.
• Language Proficiency: Fluency in English is required; fluency in Pashto and Dari is highly essential.
• Technical Knowledge: Familiarity with podcast recording and editing tools.
• Research Skills: Strong ability to research and prepare for guest interviews.
• Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
• Cultural Awareness: Deep understanding of Afghanistan’s cultural, political, and economic context.

Preferred Qualification

• Proficient in podcasting tools.
• Proficiency in additional languages (e.g., Arabic).
• Ability to create innovative podcast formats and content strategies.
• Willingness to moderate live events, webinars, or panels with high-profile guests.
• Skilled in handling sensitive topics and live interview crises.
• Knowledge of using social media for podcast promotion and engagement.
