To make the capacity of Youth Clubs Members (YCMs) by providing standard training on coop construction, poultry management and marketing.
To implement NEI-Seeds of Hope Poultry production activities in the targeted districts according to the project plan.
To make sustainable poultry production /make the youth clubs development program maintainable.

The Poultry technician will work under the direct supervision of the Seeds of hope Project manager, Sr. Poultry Specialist and overall supervision of the Provincial coordinator to perform the following duties:
The poultry Technician will be based in the field office and will be responsible for ensuring the direction of the poultry program activities, result and achievement. S/he will manage inputs, training on coop construction/poultry management and day-to-day implementation of the poultry activities in the selected districts.
To work closely with the SOH Provincial staff, Youth club leaders and implement poultry activities according to the project plan
Manage the poultry inputs, especially pullets, feed, drinkers, feeders, kit for coop construction, vaccines, medicines and etc.
Deliver standard trainings to the selected Youth Clubs Members (YCMs) according to the training manual produced by NEI’s Sr. poultry Specialist
Attend meeting with NEI’s staff, provincial DAIL and prepare reports
Keep all the records of poultry activities, input delivery /supply and assured the quality and quantity of inputs according to the ToR and main specifications.
Report the activities on weekly and monthly basis to Seeds of hope project management and poultry unit.
Help Seeds of hope provincial team to implement the planned activities.
Assist provincial coordinator to implement Seeds of hope project successfully.
Conduct any extension activity organizes for youth development in targeted location.
Conduct field demonstration and report it.
Work closely with NEI other components to reach the goals and objectives.
Coordination/ linkages with other provincial partners working in poultry sector.
To create Linkage among YCMs, YCL and Veterinary Field Unit (VFUs) in order to treat the pullets immediately.
To create Linkage among YCMs and YCL and local market in order to find a suitable market for produced eggs.
She/he is responsible to collected the weekly eggs or any poultry data, compile and share with management as required.
She /he is reasonable to collect the sample (blood, swab, and etc...) From SOH poultry farm in case if there is the poultry disease.
Report any outbreak of poultry disease to nearest Veterinary Field Units (VFUs) immediately.
PLANNING AND REPORTING:

Responsible for the training and monitoring of overall project activities in focus districts.
Responsible to submit monthly progress to SOH management and Sr. Poultry Specialist.
Submit monthly report on poultry production and diseases
Facilitate the NEI field visit/ mission in the concern districts
Bachelor degree in animal husbandry or veterinary science and preferably in poultry production.
Strong English and Computer skills

Reporting skill
At least three years of practical experience in poultry project /training in Afghanistan with national and international organizations.
Also at least 3 years of experience providing capacity development, youth and value chine development.
Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
Excellent communication skill of the local languages and English.
Demonstrated experience with workshop/ group work facilitation and participatory methods for consensus building;
Should be able to travel within the targeted places.
Ability to work in a team
