Job Summary

Duties & Responsibilities

1. Supervise and Support GF grants and NACP Project(s) activities at the central and province levels under the project manager leadership.
2. In close consultation and coordination of project manager, develop a detailed weekly, monthly and quarterly plan of action for the supervision of project in that region.
3. Provide regular feedback regarding technical progress and constraints in implementation of GF grant in the provinces.
4. Coordinate with the GF grant manager, Admin and Finance section for any related support and ensure on time procurement of supplies, equipment and material.
5. Act as an active member of NACP task force and working groups.
6. Prepare monthly & quarterly progress report on the status of project work plan.
7. Be responsible to assess the Global Fund project(s) Sub-Recipients (SR) and collect the data from SRs and timely submitting for producing comprehensive monthly and quarterly M&E reports in the required format of the program.
8. Updates and reports to Project Manager of the project status on regular basis.
9. Be responsible to conduct the supervisory/M&E visits individually or jointly with monitoring and implementation officer, Provincial HIV coordinator to relevant province/health facilities for data collection, processing, analyzing, verifying and reporting.
10. Coordinate the provincial M&E related activities internally and externally, and compile data, prepare M&E filling system, M&E reports and keep record of other related data and information.
11. Assist the development of a monitoring database which compiles data from the standard monitoring tools.
12. Participate in conducting of the IBBS.
13. Other duties and responsibilities as assigned by project manager Management.

Job Requirements

1. Be an Afghan National
2. Medical Degree (MD) from a recognized university Post graduate degree or diploma in public health will be an advantage
3. 4-8 years of work experience in program management of health sector with NGOs, UN agencies or MoPH.
4. Have knowledge of The Global Fund Grants or BPHS in Afghanistan.
5. Able to develop, design and provide comprehensive technical feedbacks after sharing with project manager.
6. Working knowledge of excellent speaking, writing and reading in English, Pashto and Dari languages.
7. Excellent Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. , also capable of data analysis experience in other related software will be additional benefits.
8. Good communication skills to work and deal with NGOs, UN and other related people and agencies.
9. Willingness to carry out frequent provincial trips and able to travel to all parts of Afghanistan (based on needs).
