Job Summary

 The Project clerk will be responsible for distribution of the cases under supervision of LAD DoJ and database including reporting, exporting data and updates; and sharing the data of provision of quality legal aid activities with the UNDP AQJS Project

Duties & Responsibilities

1.      Distribution of the cases under supervision of LAD DoJ

2.      Database including reporting, exporting data and updates; and sharing the data of provision of quality legal aid activities with the UNDP AQJS Project.

3.      Translation:

  •       Translation of all-important documents;
  •       Translation of necessary e-mails for non-English speakers;
  •       Interpreter in meetings/seminars as necessary.

4.Support to Legal Aid team:

  •       Preparation of weekly/monthly plans for Legal Aid team;
  •       Supporting Legal Aid team in preparation of their files and reports;
  •       Management of the Legal Aid team database including reporting, exporting data and updates;

5.Copying and scanning documents.

6.Reporting:

  • Assisting in preparation of weekly/monthly reports.
  • Exporting data from database to UNDP AQJS;
  • Reporting to the Project Coordinator on weekly base.
  • Generating reports from the database when requested.
  • Regularly update provincial database and share the database

Language Requirements:

  •       Fluency in Dari, Pashto and English is required

Qualification:

  •         With bachelor’s degree Minimum of 2 years and with master’s degree 1 year of relevant work experience in administration and financial management is required
  • Bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences, Statistics, Economics, Development Studies ,Business Administration, law & political science, Public Administration, Finance or related field is required.
  •         Previous work experience with a satisfactory performance in the same or similar functional area preferably with UN or INGOs.
  •         Full command of computer and English Language.
  •         Sufficient knowledge of the potential applications of the database
  •         General IT knowledge
  •         Good standard of written and spoken local languages.
  •         Ability of taking on further responsibilities
  •         Ability to work individually and as part of a team.
  •         Excellent computer skills including MS Excel and Word is required.

Institutional Arrangements:

Under direct supervision of LAD DoJ Balkh and overall supervision of National Legal Aid Coordinator, the Project clerk will support the project implementation and program team.
