Job Summary

The incumbent will be required to write and submit, on behalf of the company, proposals to a variety of donors including the US Army and the Afghan government ministries

Duties & Responsibilities

Under the direct supervision of the President and Vice President of the company, the incumbent will be responsible for the following duties;

Proposal Writing, Cost Estimation and Package Preparation for a variety of donors, including but limited to, the US Army, USAID, CIDA, JICA, the United Nations and Afghan Government RFPs in construction projects.

Preparation of Cost Estimation and work methodologies as per RFP/RFQ for the above mentioned clients

Review, estimate and analyze RFPs/RFQs and advice accordingly

Provide technical assistance in system development, project management and design and work plan development

Periodically check the market to get updates on the prices of items that affect the preparation of RFPs/RFQs

Represent the company in bilateral meetings as well as conferences with the donors

May periodically visit the sites

Prepare accurate scheduling of the project implementation prior to and after the project has been awarded using Ms. Project and Primavera

Job Requirements

A first level University degree in civil engineering is required. (Master degree would be preferable)

Five years’ experience in proposal writing, preparation of RFPs/RFQs, field engineering and project management

Strong computer literacy and easy to operate MS Office Package, AutoCAD and AutoCAD3D

Fluency in Pashto, Dari and English is required


Strong communication skills and the ability to communicate effectively when representing the company in official meetings
