Job Summary

Under the overall guidance and direct supervision of the Governor/Deputy Governor, the Provincial Security Adviser will be responsible for communication and coordinationg all security related issues at the provincial level with Provincial Governor and ANSF. The following are the main duties and responsibililties of the security Adviser.

Duties & Responsibilities

1.Advise provincial Governor on security issues and threats.
2.Developing/reviewing security plans.
3.Participating in security meetings on behalf of H.E. Governor.
4. Maintaining regular contacts with ANSF (ANA, ANP, ABP, ANCOP, OCCs and NDS).
5. Maintaining regular contacts and providing security advices to district governors and DGO officials
6. Coordinating security activities between ISAF and ANSF.
7. Make sure that all security meetings happening regularly and taking minutes of the meetings for informed decision makings
8. In coordination with other stakeholders prepare regular schedule of security meetings; timely creation and distribution of agenda;
9. chairing of security meetings on behalf of the Provincial Governor; provide minutes of these meetings to Governor
10. Direct follow-on actions
11. Coordinating security issues at all levels, national, regional, provincial and districts.
12. Proper coordination between PGO and ANSF organization at all levels.

Job Requirements

University graduate degree.Minimum of 10 years of experience with national/international organizations in Security Positions. At least 10 years of experience in a public/Private sector environment. Knowledge of the local governance system at the provincial and district level and previous experience in this area is an advantage.
Excellent communication and information skills; excellent drafting skills in one of the state languages; computer skills
Ability to communicate in English is required, fluency in both state languages mandatory
