Job Summary

The purchaser will be responsible for identifying and evaluating potential suppliers and vendors based on price, quality, reliability, and other criteria.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Identify and evaluate potential suppliers and vendors based on price, quality, reliability, and other criteria.
• Collecting quotations from the Market in person.
• Negotiate terms and conditions with suppliers.
• Stay informed on industry trends and find competitive suppliers.
• Place orders and ensure timely delivery.
• Analyze procurement costs, market trends, and pricing to optimize purchasing decisions and reduce costs.
• Stay updated with industry trends, market conditions, and emerging suppliers to make informed procurement decisions.
• Maintain accurate records of procurement activities.
• Updating all records of purchased products

Job Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Procurement, Economics, Business Administration, or a relevant field.
• Must have 1 to 2 years of relevant work experience (for a master's degree work experience is not required).
• Fluent in one of the local languages (Dari or Pashto), and English (written and spoken).
• Must have good knowledge of computer programs (especially office packages).
• Demonstrates a strong work ethic.
• Possesses excellent communication skills.
• Upholds integrity and honesty.
• Capable of performing well under pressure.
• Ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues that arise during work.
• Willingness to travel to other provinces and work additional hours.
• Adheres to company rules and policies.
