Scope of Work:
The quality assurance Officer is a member of project Management Team, responsible coordinate Strengthening vulnerable peoples’ right to health, with particular focus on reproductive health rights by improving access to quality health services project activities, oversee the implementation process, mobilise resources, train staff in quality assurance and do quality control. This will ensure that project achieves its objectives at level of desire for planning, organizing, implementing, controlling and following of the health facility activities.
Main Responsibilities:
To train staff of health facility and BPHS management team in quality assurance
To coordinate healthy facility construction activities with engineering department
To assess need of health facilities for medical equipment and take part in procurement
To visit health facilities and record application of quality assurance standards
Check the quality of services provided through health facilities
Provide on the job training to the staff in quality and other aspects of good health care
To follow the implementation of Strengthening vulnerable peoples’ right to health, with particular focus on reproductive health rights by improving access to quality health service project
To liaison between Sar-e-Pul BHS and Health Program Management Unit at Kabul offices of SCA
To supervise the outreach activities in community.
To supervise clinics and hospitals for quality services and strong linkage with community.
Ensure quality manpower in health facilities through conducting standard trainings.
Ensure collaboration and coordination with PHOs and DHOs as joint supervision.
Participate in surveys, evaluations and reviews of the project and BPHS
Qualifications & Requirements:
Graduate from recognized university as a Medical Doctor
At least three years experience in health management , health program, preferably BPHS
Sufficient experience in quality assurance, supportive supervision and monitoring
Fluency in Dari, Pashto and good in English
Good computer skills especially Ms Office package
Able to travel extensively
To be an Afghan citizen
