MgtWell Consulting Services is an international development management consulting firm that was established in 2013. The firm is registered with the Government of Afghanistan and has been providing support to the international development and humanitarian sector for over a decade. 

In collaboration with the World Food Programme (WFP) Afghanistan, MgtWell currently provides Third Party Monitoring Services (TPM) across the East and South Regions. East Regions include Nangarhar, Laghman, Kunar and Nuristan provinces, and South Regions include Kandahar, Zabul, Helmand, Nimruz and Urozgan provinces, Within the scope of this partnership, MgtWell is entrusted with the crucial task of conducting third-party monitoring in several districts within the Five provinces. Through this engagement, MgtWell is actively contributing to the transparency, accountability, and overall success of WFP's humanitarian initiatives in Afghanistan.


Job Summary

The Quality Assurance Specialist is staff of Third Party Monitoring (TPM) Project to conduct due diligence on data quality, analysis and reporting to ensure all projects at field level are implemented with required WFP humanitarian and Monitoring Standards. 

The position will be based 50% in Helmand Province and 50% will be in Nimruz Provinces.

Duties & Responsibilities

Under the direct supervision of the WFP TPM Project Manager, The Quality Assurance Specialist will undertake the following duties and responsibilities:

  • Develop, implement, and maintain quality assurance protocols;
  • Oversee reports checking & recommend trainings for Field Monitors;
  • Identify process improvements and recommend changes to management;
  • Conduct routine trainings to Field Monitors;
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of trends and best practices of Quality Assurance.
  • Develop and implement innovative and new application that will ensure WFP required quality.
  • Review the implementation and efficiency of quality inspection systems.
  • Ensures data collected is accurate, complete and relevant to intervention that comply with required WFP merits and standards.
  • Conduct due diligence in reviewing the field monitors data and reports with related stakeholders to ensure required compliance.
  • Ensure all quality assurance standards incorporated into data collection, classification, analysis and reporting domain.
  • Assume any other task assigned by Project Manager.


Job Requirements

  • Bachelor (Preference will be given to Master degree holders) in Economics, Statistics, Management, Sociology, Civil Engineering, Development/Humanitarian Studies.
  • At least five years of progressively responsible experience in data management, project management, statistical analysis, report writing, M&E, of which at least one year was closely related to Quality Assurance and Management.
  • Familiarity of Project context, environment, culture sensitivity.
  • Strong knowledge of Core Humanitarian Standards and awareness of gender and protection of vulnerable groups;
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to clearly synthesize and present findings;
  • Experience utilizing computer (MS Word, MS Excel, Typing, etc.) and smart phone including word processing and knowledge on remote data collection using Kobo, ODK, MODA, etc;
  • Ability to speak fluently in both Afghanistan formal languages Pashto and Dari;
  • Command on English Language with professional expertise in data analysis and report writing.
