· Train and Provide QuickBooks Pro, Premier and Enterprise versions training to AACS Consulting clients and trainees. On direction of/coordination with the VP for Business Services, the trainer may also provide financial management training and advisory support to AACS Consulting clients and batches of trainees on evening shifts and any other shifts that will be required by AACS Consulting clients.
· Train how to build on progress and learnings to date, and the trainer’s assessment, s/he will design a proposed training plan/schedule, including recommended approach, priorities, mix of classroom and hands-on training (anticipate primarily practical, applied) and timeline under the guidance of the VP for Business Services.
· The trainer will also work and provide inputs into for individual staff development/training plans, for follow-up training requirements, in collaboration with the VP Business Services.
· Train the clients and trainees how to finalize and rollout a newly developed draft Chart of Accounts manuals for clients.
· Guide and trainer the clients and trainees how to install new QBs version to clients and convert/upload current clients QBs file for use in new version. Ensure appropriate user levels are defined and setup to meet security and internal controls requirements.
· Train the clients and trainees how to do the process and system Re-Engineering, Company customized setups and based on company nature of business the chart of account development.
· Do the clients staff mentorship and trainings, private classes and other customized programs in QuickBooks computerized accounting software and train their Finance team in basic best practices in booking transactions/use of QBs, reporting, basic trouble shooting. Illustratively, the training to include:
o Basics of data entry on QBs
o Correction of errors through journal entries (reversals)
o Closing accounts at month end
o Creating/deleting accounts
o Balance sheet and bank/cash reconciliation
o How to update currency changes on QBs
o Accrual accounting using QBs (e.g. how to treat accruals, prepayments, installments and credit sales)
o Treatment of advances (salary and operations advances)
o Booking of program income using A/R invoicing system to enable monthly debtor analysis
o Use of macros for large date entry such as monthly salaries and other staff benefits.
o Extracting transaction data for management/ Clients, donor reports, e.g. design/link custom QBs report to facilitate completion of monthly reporting. Map client based and donor-based budget categories on QBs for clients and donors reporting and budget purposes.
· Training of AACS Consulting clients and trainees how to ensure effective use QuickBooks in all accrual-based accounting (bookkeeping, basic donor/grant/clients and management/corporate reporting, management of Accounts Receivables/invoicing, etc.). Rollout and ensure compliance with Chart of Accounts manual.
· Train the clients and trainees how to establish effective systems for monitoring treasury/cash flow management and mitigating risk, especially local currency, exchange rate and forex risk in context of reserve bank policies and current macro-economic climate.
· Assess options and adapt/setup systems to best manage liability accounts and staff vacation accruals, severance in accordance with local Afghanistan labor law requirements.
· Train clients and trainees how to implement timely, accurate, compliant weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual financial and accounting processes (month-end close/recon check-list, monthly donor reporting, quarterly budget vs actual review/analysis and pipeline, etc.)
o Establishing and maintaining effective professional relationships through collaboration, negotiation and teamwork.
o As a good listener, who motivates, understands and adapts to the needs of mentored staff from diverse backgrounds and expertise.
o Applying management, organization and problem-solving skills to a complex, changing operating context requiring adaptability, flexibility, determination.

o Experience teaching QuickBooks to students with no QuickBooks background; able to convey concepts in laypersons’ terms
o Demonstrated experience in QuickBooks implementations, instruction or technical training.
o Experience using QuickBooks in a professional setting.
o QuickBooks ProAdvisor Certification if available will be a plus point.
o Knowledge of standardized assessments, performance-based measurements, and other qualitative and quantitative assessment tools used in system development.
o Fully developed curriculum teaching QuickBooks
o Experience working with diverse populations, including those facing additional challenges/learning barriers.
