The Reporting Manager coordinates inputs to program reports and other documents, and provides quality control over documents. Coordinates closely with the IR3 Communications and Outreach team, and with the M&E team. May supervise staff documentation unit staff including translator/interpreter(s), document production officer(s), graphic artist(s), and mapping officer(s).
Manage the Document Production Unit to ensure the unit serves as a resource to support document production requirements across all teams.
Schedule the flow of documents and availability of personnel to meet production schedules and deadlines.
Draft selected documents and reports, such as weekly, monthly and quarterly reports, drawing on inputs from SIKA staff members and counterparts. Finalize documents after receiving input from team leaders, COP and others as appropriate.
Review, edit, and format documents produced by the program including, but not limited to regular progress reports, technical reports, training modules, briefing notes and PowerPoint presentations, success stories, press and releases, or; arrange and manage additional editing and formatting services provided by staff or vendors as required and authorized.
Provide quality control over writing, editing, formatting, graphic content, and translation for formal documents produced by the program.
Advise and mentor staff across SIKA to improve the quality of source material they prepare.
Organize and catalog documents as needed including documents, maps and photographs produced by SIKA and external resource materials such as technical papers and training modules. Ensure that cataloged documents are readily accessible to SIKA staff.
Assist, enable and train staff to produce accurate, clear and concise written products, to produce material that complies with AECOM, USAID or DRRD standards (as relevant).
Assure that all formal documents attain a high professional standard of quality, accuracy and appearance, including compliance with USAID and/or AECOM branding and marking standards if applicable.
Understand and enforce AECOM’s policy of zero tolerance for fraud and corruption.
University degree in a relevant field.
At least 5 years of relevant experience in writing, editing and/or document production.
Bilingual English and Pashtu, including strong written communication skills.
Residents of Kandahar, Helmand, Zabul or Urzgan provinces strongly preferred.
Prior experience working on donor-funded development projects is preferred, with prior USAID project experience highly preferred.
At least 5 years of relevant experience in writing, editing and/or document production.
