Job Summary

The incumbent is responsible to assist the Roaming Manager and do all the related activities of the section.

Duties & Responsibilities

o IR road map (Postpaid, GPRS and Prepaid roaming footprint)
o IR21 preparation and configuration
o IREG tests preparation and execution
o technical relationship with Roaming partners
o troubleshooting of Roaming issues
o Technical guidance and QoS Monitoring
o Configuration and monitoring of TAP’s , RAP’s , IOT’s and execution of TADIG testing
o Monitoring of Roaming Inbound and Outbound Traffic
o IOT discount coaching and training
o Support on the preparation of reports
o Financial clearing of all roaming related invoices and payments
o Fraud and QOS monitoring
o Knowledge of TAP/RAP files
o Identify the itinerary of the points of capture,
o Identify the points with a strong roaming traffic by cities/site,
o Understand the roamers performance by managing roaming tests,
o Suggest and implement the right solutions in order to keep the roamers and to improve the roaming traffic,
o Creation of solutions skills documentation (parameters template),
o Roaming statistics database for reference,
o Prepare reports daily, weekly, and monthly reports for engineers, Management and Group.
o IR pricing and wholesale change management
o Data Clearing and Financial Clearing POC
o IR reporting (Revenue, Cost, Global SMS, QOS, P&L,FC)
o IR Database management and SIM management
o IR Wholesale management and Negotiation
o Hands on experience in query development using any reporting tool like plsql developer or toad etc
o UNIX knowledge will be a plus
o NRTRDE understanding

Job Requirements

o Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science / Information Technology/Software engineering/ Telecom Engineering
o 3 - 4 years of Work Experience on an Telco Roaming/Settlement Systems

Functional Skills/Knowledge Areas:
o Networking roaming experience,
o Roaming test equipment experience,
o Experience in Core/Radio Network,
o Fundamental knowledge on 2G/3G/HSPA technologies and concepts,
o Network interfaces such as A-Interface, Gb, Gn, GP, luPS,lur, lub, Nc, Mc, etc.,
o Hardware and Software such as SUN/Oracle servers, Linux/Unix and Windows Servers, Gnome and other X-Windows apps,
o Experience with routing and signaling protocols, control plane technologies (ASON,GMPLS).
