Job Summary
The Sales Officer is responsible for overseeing the sales of cargo and freight services, managing relationships with existing clients, and identifying new business opportunities. Sales Officer must have the ability to drive revenue growth by meeting sales targets and expanding the customer base.
Duties & Responsibilities
Develop and implement a strategic sales plan to achieve revenue and growth targets for cargo and freight services.
Identify new sales opportunities in both existing and new markets.
Manage the entire sales cycle from prospecting to closing deals.
Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with existing clients and partners to ensure customer satisfaction and loyalty.
Conduct regular meetings with clients to understand their needs and offer customized supply chain solutions
Resolve client issues and complaints in a timely and professional manner.
Research market trends, competitor activity, and customer needs to identify new opportunities.
Provide insights into management about the competitive landscape and potential market changes.
Monitor sales performance and track KPIs (Key Performance Indicators).
Prepare regular sales reports for senior management, including revenue forecasts, pipeline updates, and market trends.
Analyze sales performance to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
Work closely with the operations and logistics teams to ensure a smooth delivery service for customers.
Collaborate with marketing teams to create promotional materials and campaigns that support sales efforts.
Train, mentor, and motivate junior sales staff to meet targets and improve their performance.
Ensure all sales activities comply with company policies, legal requirements, and industry standards.
Oversee the proper documentation of contracts, proposals, and other relevant sales materials.

Target: Achieve an average customer satisfaction score of 90%
Average Deal Size
Target: Maintain an average deal size of 7.5K dollars per transaction.
Sales Cycle Length
Target: Reduce the average sales cycle to 3 days.
Cross-Selling and Upselling Rate
Target: Achieve a cross-sell/upsell (Domestic and International Courier) rate of 25% of total sales.
Sales Activity Metrics
Target: Make 250 outbound sales calls and 125 client meetings per month.
