Job Summary

The ideal candidate will be responsible for broadcasting (DTH), VSAT, Teleport design, installation and supporting customer support & services as well as project management, and network operations center.
Also this position required, working with satellite communication equipment vendors, broadcast service providers, VSAT service providers and teleport operators.
Moreover, closely work with satellite operators & field engineers to bring new sites into the network and interacting with the customers, vendors and satellite operators for resolution of service related problems. Also should have a strong understanding and experience to work with i Direct technology.

Duties & Responsibilities

Support full network infrastructure life cycle but not limited to design, implementation and maintenance

Coordinate, execute and provide technical support to broadcast (DTH), VSAT, teleport installation, commissioning and troubleshooting.

Design, develop, configure and maintain the hardware used in broadcast, VSAT and teleport networks which include receivers, transmitters, antennas, and network HUB infrastructure.

Operate and maintain the VSAT network to achieve service stability, network performance and high availability.

Perform RF operation tasks (antenna performance verification, polarization adjustment, power levels adjustment and space segment monitoring)

Perform link analysis and optimization that include effects of propagation medium and possible interference sources with respect to broadcast and VSAT communications architecture.

Monitor and maintain all satellite back-haul links and network devices which is deployed by telecom engineering department.

Ensure continuous operation of servers, modems and other network elements and trace, identify, and correct network outages or degradation

Provide quality support for customers and respond to customer queries and complaints.

Maintain and provide support to i Direct network.

Job Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Electronics/Electrical and Telecommunications Engineering; Masters preferred; supplemented minimum eight (8) years of experience with focus in broadcast, VSAT Engineering and IP Networks over Satellite.

Knowledge of broadcast network, telecommunication services, applications appropriate for Satellite communications and its related network.

Good understanding of VSAT and teleport systems installation planning, site surveys, commissioning and maintenance.

Teleport work and NOC operation experiences are preferred

Good knowledge and understanding of Ku/Ka/C band and IP networks

Strong working knowledge of networking services including routing, switching, wireless, and security

Experience in remote communications (VSAT, microwave), voice and video solutions

iDirect and SCPC Satellite experience

Comprehensive knowledge of network engineering tools and technologies
Having ability to complete difficult and complex assignments

Excellent problem solving and organizational skills with strong attention to details

Capable of working independently with minimal supervision
