About Project

A rapid, extreme deterioration in the humanitarian situation in Afghanistan is observed with more than 22 million people projected to need food assistance over the coming months, including more than 8 million people in IPC4 reliant on assistance to mitigate loss of life. Half of Afghan children could be at risk of acute malnutrition. In the targeted districts, POWER will engage with local authorities, CDCs, community leaders and DoRR to identify the most vulnerable households, including through gender and protection considerations (e.g. female-headed households and persons with disabilities) based on WFP Targeting Criteria. Upon identification, the beneficiaries shall be registered in the Scope System and facilitate assistance to the registered vulnerable households for a specific period of time.

Job Summary

The Scope Registration Officer will be responsible for the registration of beneficiaries in the SCOPE registration system as per the provided deadlines.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Collect the beneficiaries' information as per the pre-designed template or as required for the SCOPE registration system;
• Crosscheck and verify the beneficiaries introduced by community elders CDC members and community members not included in the beneficiaries’ selection process;
• Crosscheck the information provided by the beneficiaries such as Tazkira number with original Tazkira;
• Collect quality data including biometrics data from the beneficiaries during the registration process; 
• Ensure the number of assigned beneficiary registration targets are met as per the provided deadline;
• Verify and issue beneficiaries’ identification token/coupon to the registered beneficiaries for the assistance distribution;
• Performing any other duties assigned by the supervisor/team lead.

Job Requirements

Qualification and Experience

• At least undergraduate degree holders, a degree in Computer Science is preferred; 
• At least two years of work experience is required;
• Previous work experience with WFP projects will be a bonus for candidates;
• Able to work under heavy pressure situations;
• Able to meet deadlines and deliver high-quality work on time;
• Ability to speak Pashto and Dari, English fluency is also required;
• Fast pace in English language typing/Data entry with higher accuracy is required;
• Ability to travel to various districts in the respective provinces.
