Duties & Responsibilities:
The Sector Specialist Livelihood under the direct supervision of the TUP project manager will perform the following responsibilities.
1. Conducting the necessary income generation enterprise training for the livelihood improvement of the beneficiaries through Pos (Livelihood)
2. Responsible for technical support to beneficiaries along with PO’s (livelihood)
3. Monitoring and supervising the asset transferring to beneficiaries along with the district manager and Program Organizers (Livelihood)
4. Preparing the target plan of the TUP activities for POs and providing to district manager in discussion with the project manager
5. Conducting regular meeting with the POs livelihood and district manager, if require will also have meeting with ultra poor members
6. Preparing and maintain all documents of his activities in the office
7. Maintaining his diary and keeping note down every information in it
8. Visiting field, monitor the needs of the beneficiaries and enlist their information in given format and report to project manager.
9. Maintaining training register.
10. Discussing with the POs and district managers about their regular progress and different constraints that has given activities to them
11. Keeping a good relationship with all project staffs honoring the norms and values of Afghan society.
12. Provide training in small business management to the TUP project beneficiaries.
13. Provide training to the TUP beneficiaries in “How to start your business and how to improve your existing businesses”.
14. Provide training to the TUP house hold beneficiaries as how to boosting their self-confidence.
15. Train TUP beneficiaries in developing business plan.
16. Provide basic financial literacy to the beneficiaries
17. Organize TUP beneficiaries in saving groups.
18. Encourage TUP beneficiaries to begin an appropriate savings.
19. Provide market intelligence to the TUP beneficiaries.
20. At the end of the project Link the TUP beneficiaries to MFIs to receive loans for starting new businesses or expanding their existing businesses.
21. Visit beneficiaries on regular basis and provide professional input to them.
Essential Skills, Experience and Qualifications:
University degree in business management or Social Science
Five years work experience. Experience in business/enterprise development will be preferred.
Fluency in Dari and/or Pashto, English would be an asset.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, self-starter and able to work independently.
Reasonable computer skills.
Demonstrated attention to detail and proven ability to follow procedures, complete tasks, meet deadlines and work well under pressure in a cooperative, team oriented environment.
