Job Summary

Global Star Security Services Company (GSS) is seeking a dedicated, experienced, and professional Security Guard Supervisor to oversee and coordinate day-to-day operations of the deployed security team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring optimal security coverage, enforcing protocols, and maintaining the highest standards of vigilance and professionalism at all assigned sites.

This position requires an individual with strong leadership skills, sound judgment under pressure, and the technical knowledge to uphold GSS’s commitment to operational excellence and client satisfaction.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Supervise, coordinate, and schedule activities of security guards across assigned locations.
  • Monitor guard attendance, duty rosters, and performance, ensuring all shifts are covered.
  • Conduct regular inspections of guards’ appearance, posture, discipline, and adherence to SOPs.
  • Review and enforce site-specific security protocols and emergency response procedures.
  • Respond promptly to incidents and provide immediate guidance, reporting, and escalation when required.
  • Maintain effective communication with client representatives and ensure service quality aligns with expectations.
  • Train and mentor new security personnel; deliver refresher briefings and on-the-job coaching.
  • Prepare daily, weekly, and incident reports; ensure accurate documentation and timely submission to management.
  • Oversee the usage, condition, and accountability of all issued equipment and uniforms.
  • Coordinate closely with GSS Operations and HR teams on disciplinary matters, performance reviews, and guard welfare.

Job Requirements

Technical Competencies:

  • Sound knowledge of security operations, physical security systems, access control protocols, and emergency response tactics.
  • Ability to draft incident reports, operational updates, and post orders with clarity and accuracy.
  • Proficient in using communication equipment, surveillance systems, and security reporting tools.
  • Strong understanding of applicable legal, regulatory, and compliance standards.

 

Key Skills and Qualifications:

Education:

  • A Bachelor degree or diploma in security management, law enforcement, or a related field is advantageous.

 

Experience:

  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a security, military, or law enforcement role, preferably with supervisory or management responsibilities.
  • Experience in client relationship management and operations coordination within the security industry is preferred.

 

Skills:

  • Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to supervise teams across multiple locations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of managing relationships with clients, staff, and other stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of security operations, risk management, and emergency response protocols.
  • Ability to handle stressful situations and make sound decisions under pressure.
  • Strong report-writing and administrative skills, with attention to detail.

 

Certifications:

  • Certifications in security operations, risk management, or crisis management are a plus.

 

Physical & Other Requirements:

  • Supervisors must be physically fit, mentally alert, educated, and capable of handling subordinates.
  • Have at least three years’ experience as an armed security guard supervisor.
  • Proficient in speaking, reading, and writing English.
  • Experienced and proficient in handling an AK-47 and pistol.
  • Proficient in documenting incidents and security logs and reports
  • No criminal background
  • Have proof of previous work experience or a reliable reference.
  • Flexibility to travel within the region.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and public holidays when required.
  • A valid driver’s license.
  • Physically fit to handle on-site inspections and incident management.
