EUPOL, Multi Location
The position is located in the Information Systems Unit (ISU) of the Communications and Information Systems Department (CIS) of EUPOL. The Unit develops and maintains the content and collaboration architecture, which is the central platform of information services and collaboration tools for the EUPOL mission. Furthermore, the ISU oversees and manages the full software development life-cycle of business applications, including analysis, design, development, implementation, and support. Contributing to the departmental results of CIS, the ISU activities aim to strengthen information sharing, improve the flow of information, communication, and collaboration throughout the Mission at all levels, and to enable work processes innovation and optimization. The Unit assists in the sourcing, acquisition, and contracting of systems, products and services for the fulfilment of its work plan, and coordinates its work closely with other units in the Department, in particular with the Service Desk.
Under the general direction of the Chief of CIS, and under the day-to-day guidance of the CIS Officer (Information Systems) or his/her designate, the CIS Officer (SharePoint Developer) will:
Responsibilities and Main Tasks:
Design, create and deploy complex Mission specific process automations by leveraging Microsoft SharePoint Server in the concept areas of Enterprise Content Management & Search, Communication, Collaboration, and Business Intelligence
Build customization on SharePoint with SharePoint Designer as well as benefiting .NET developing architecture
Maintain applications on a geographically distributed and high-availability SharePoint platform
Perform solution validation best practises with cooperation of EUPOL software vendors
Build integrations with Microsoft Dynamics AX, and produce customized reports to end-users by utilizing SharePoint PerformancePoint services
Produce documentation of developed automations and applications
Perform end-user trainings
Perform any other duties related to his/her assignment
University degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or closely related field
Industry certification with specialization in Microsoft SharePoint Server application development, such as Microsoft Certified Technology Specialist (MCTS) or Microsoft Certified Professional Developer (MCPD), is a strong asset
Demonstrate expert development knowledge and skills in Microsoft SharePoint Server, preferably with SharePoint 2010
Minimum 5 years relevant work experience in a similar position, of which 2 years in an international organization is desired, with hands-on experience mainly in SharePoint development, preferably with SharePoint 2010
Experience with developing SharePoint especially in the area of InfoPath WorkFlow, PerformancePoint Services (Status Indicators, Reports and Dash Boards) and group-driven Work-Spaces
Understanding of best practises of SharePoint solution package deployment
Other Microsoft-related technology concept skills are a strong advantage, such as Dynamics AX, Lync Server, SQL Server, and Office applications
Understanding of HR, Finance, Logistics and Procurement work processes is an advantage
Be familiar with claim and form-based authentication methods
Strong technical documentation ability
Ability to prioritize and manage a high workload
Good problem solving skills and ability to analyze complex situations
Excellent knowledge of spoken and written English
Additional Attributes
Ability to work effectively under pressure, in difficult circumstances, as well as ability to communicate with personnel at all operational and strategic levels.
Ability to work without supervision, complete assigned tasks within strict deadlines and consistently maintains quality and accuracy in performance of duties.
Ability and willingness to work additional hours if required.
Proven interpersonal skills and the ability to establish and maintain effective working relations in a multi-cultural, multi-ethnic environment with sensitivity and respect for diversity.
Mandatory requirement to pass all security clearance and medical checks.
