Job Summary

The Incumbent is proposed to analyze member companies under Investone Corps Inc. lead on glean- ground analysis of (1) business set- up and planning, (2) assumption and measuring, (3) analyze business risks (4) finding and recommendation for the ways forward, he/she’ll have depth- focus and attention to detail of submitted plan/ reports by managing directors and assure these are result- oriented, meet country law, culturally and internationally adapted, ICI standards are met as well as to oversee on future risks are identified and proposed risk management plan is in place.

Department role:

Corporate Management &Support; Department will serve as secretariat for member companies executive board, the department scope is to manage, support and facilitate members companies to ensure that

Provide assistance on developing of comprehensive and sustainable business views and plans

Monitor and supervise performances to assure operational aspects are on track and in line with scope and budget

Provide assistance on critical situation, political support, providing direction, serve as backup in absence of key staff of member companies to keep- on services in track as desired

Assuring on following of board decision and guidelines

Recruitment/ dismissal and performance appraisal of member companies senior management team
The CMS department will coordinate to maximize the synergies and integrations in business operational aspect between member companies and provide advisory services for business improvement and expansion

Role of senior expert, analysis and evaluation:

ICI have initiated to invest on multi- sector business through AISA license have created 10 new companies, recently are in concept developments, study and developing investment plan stage, for the assurance to set plans on success- oriented, it’s expected to recruit an expert to look smartly in attention to detail to assure all provided plans and assure management that progress are result- oriented and are focused on investment return through a comprehensive analysis and finding strengths and weaknesses prior to make decision.

Duties & Responsibilities

Business set- up and planning:
To ensure the basic business fundamentals are in place, the required plans (Master, Investment, business, operational) are developed logically and political, economical, social, technological and situational factors are considered as well as to analyze investment return and financial sustainability are forecasted, detail as below
i. The expert interacts with ICI member companies Managing directors in order to understand their problems and needs for market positioning and provide recommendation and options for the ICI management view and decision
ii. Expected to brain- wise and assure that future risk and challenges are identified
iii. Research and studies are on hand and the reason for production and (or) delivery of services is assessed and market is positioned through current/ future needs and demands of client
iv. Country law and regulation are considered and the business operational cycle are clearly legally processed under AISA, MoCI, ACCI and ICI policies and procedure
v. ICI standards are met (to be developed) in term of setting plan for action on overall business transactions
vi. Future competitors influences are considered and market is analyzed and alternatives option are in place to solve respond anticipated challenges in the future
vii. The expert works to analyze opportunities for improvement in business operations and processes of member companies
viii. Develop analysis and evaluation tool and criteria
ix. Assessed and evaluate the in term of implementation of the plan of member companies approved by ICI

Assumption and measurement:
To analyze and outline options on assumption and forecasting for measuring the feasibilities in term of putting- in practice the draft report prior to decision making , measure success & for the way forward for management review and decisions
i. Senior Expert is expect to assure leadership that member companies are on progress in line with scope, budget and methods in through oversight of companies operations
ii. Measure scopes to ensure on adjustability with allocated budget by ICI to member company
iii. To oversee specific business strategic view is in place and the entire planning processes are approached suitably and practically
iv. Enough financial, HR and technical resources are allocated and available
v. Analyze Source for raw material costs analysis and profit assumption
vi. Clear actions are outlined and timeline
vii. The expert gathers, documents, and analyzes business model, plan, needs and requirements
viii. The expert analyze solves business problems and, as needed, designs technical solutions
ix. provide business analysis including but not limited to: process analysis, formulating detailed business requirements,
x. Ensure monitoring and evaluation mechanism are considered
xi. Clear indicator are exist to measure success
xii. Developing of analysis and evaluation tool and mechanism

Risk management
xiii. Assure business risks are specified/ identified and are managed through a pre- planned arrangement and alternative to secure investment return
xiv. Assure the mitigation plan is in place in term of emergencies
xv. Ensure all legal/ law and government procedure are considered
xvi. Assure the business operations are culturally adopted and accepted and the international standard are met as well

Finding and recommendation
Following attention to detail, analysis expert need to deliver a memo of analysis for management consideration and all relevant factors mentioned to bring success on investment, attention to be on
i. Through right- based approaches analysis in consideration to country exist political, economic, social and technological possibilities and obstacles
ii. Data gathering and analysis to specify the gaps and key factors resulting challenges
iii. Provide constraint and recommendation for the way forward
iv. Providing option for decision making

Expected Deliverables:

Expert would specifically expected to deliver
I. Analysis report verified and submitted
II. Specify the planning needs of member companies
III. Develop analyzing and evaluation tool and criteria
IV. Option and alternative are in place for decision making
V. Implementation of business plan in line with method, approach and allocated resource at each member company within on quarterly basis

Key accountabilities:

i. Analyzing and measuring business processes, overseeing existence and following of documentation of workflows in term of ICI member companies business operation, reporting requirements
ii. Overview Conducted research and analysis, accurately and clearly analyzing companies requirements and processes
Analyze the preparation of accurate business specifications/requirements with information required to develop/support commercial system and operational enhancements in term of putting in- practice the business plan
iii. Assurance of ICI Researching various alternative solutions to business requirement and design/working sessions with a view to providing the most beneficial, cost effective solutions to meet user specifications with the approved budget
iv. Analyze the to the prepared various member companies documents including terms of reference/ Master plan, benefit maps, business requirements, communication plans and assisting with the pilot/post implementation phases as required for ICI partner companies

Coordination:

Through a developed plan and timely business need Coordination with member companies Managing Directors or managerial staff, exist experts of ICI’s and relevant stakeholders/ governmental agencies for observation and analysis on relevant business issues

Reporting line and staff under supervision:

Corporate analysis expert will report to ICI Corporate Management Support Director and will expected as well to provide periodically update to ICI Director General on the finding gaps for the way forward
Staff Supervision: No direct reporting line.

Working Hour:

Expected to work 48 hours a week, Saturday to Thursday normally , in addition the position will need to travel domestic and internationally to assist marketing function in positioning and targeting as per pre- planned or situational analysis/ studies purposes

Salary:

competitive salary based on qualification and salary history at a national range

Contract Duration:

The position is permanent, the initial contract would offer for one year with three months’ probation period and renewal would be subject to annual performance appraisal

Job Requirements

Must have Master degree in Agriculture, Medical, Banking, Risk Management , Business administration, economic or business focused field with five year post- graduate experience in business sector
Essential:
i. Sound knowledge on cycle for business set- up and development within ability to brain- wise the team for future- focused sustainable business initiative for investment return
ii. Extensive experience of business analysis/ design
iii. Previous experience in multi- sector business planning
iv. Continually acquiring and enhancing knowledge of business strategies and policies, practices and methodologies, setting tools to provide effective business solutions and services to the end user business lines.
Researching and assisting in issue resolution that arise periodically with the supported business lines
v. Maintaining documentation of gathered information and providing summaries or analysis to management

Important:
i. Defining user procedures and workflows, participating in conversion and implementation strategies,
ii. Responsibility for ensuring that management are informed of and that problems and issues are escalated appropriately discussed
Reviewing new and outstanding issues and where risks are identified, escalating appropriately
Understanding the end-to-end processes. Where gaps are identified, providing feasible options

Desirable:
i. Proven knowledge on business research prefer in Afghanistan or south Asia region
ii. Sound knowledge if statistical software SPSS, STATA
iii. Study on exist economic politics condition of Afghanistan
iv. ACCI, AISA and MoCI and MoF trading agreement
