Job Summary

Kabul/IRDP with travel to Herat, Kandahar, Mazar-e-Sharif, Jalalabad and Kunduz

Duties & Responsibilities

RESPONSIBILITIES
For the project offices in Kabul and the regions, the incumbent shall perform the following;
-report and attend troubleshooting of Software and Hardware problems of Computers and network;
-assist FAO IT in maintaining the protection of project computers to be safe from virus and updating Anti Virus and relevant work Softwares;
-assist in backing up Important Computers (Transferring to HDD, ftp and writing in DVDs);
-attend Outlook troubleshooting;
-maintain printers, plotters computers, scanners and copiers to be well serviced;
-assist FAO IT in the installation of Softwares and Hardwares as and where required with prior permission of the project management;
-assist in the installation and administration of Servers;
-maintain internet router configuration and control;
-assist M&E, GIS and MIS to perform their activities smoothly,
-reporting as and when need;
-keep tracking of data entry between regions and Database;
-assist FAO IT in training PCU and Ministry staff, on Data entry and report tracking from server;
-perform other IT technical related support required in day to day work;

Job Requirements

Required Qualification and Experience
Qualifications:
Bachelor Degree in computer science or equivalent qualification with at least 5 years of relevant experience.
Working knowledge of English and good command of national languages (Dari/Pashtu) required

The Project Coordination Unit (PCU) of IRDP under Ministry of Energy and water now invites National eligible consultants to indicate their interest. Interested eligible candidates must provide information indicating that they are qualified to perform the services and are invited to submit their CV (Curriculum Vitae), including employment records, description of similar assignments carried out, experience in similar conditions, availability of appropriate skills etc.

A consultant will be selected in accordance with Section V Selection of Individual Consultants procedures set out in the World Bank’s Guidelines: Selection and Employment of Consultants by World Bank Borrowers (January 2011).
