Job Summary

• Provide simultaneous and consecutive interpretations at high level meetings, press conferences and dialogues to be held between government officials and foreigners;
• Translate meeting minutes, press releases and other written materials into English, Pashto and Dari, and visa verse;
• Transcribe press conference proceedings;
• Ensure timely and duly translation of documents;
• Provide translation to all GMIC departments in all
related activities; and
• To undertake other duties as requested by the
supervisor.

supervisor.

Job Requirements

• University degree in English literature, journalism or any other relevant subjects;
. Minimum three years of demonstrated professional simultaneous translation experience with high-level offices/organizations;
• Excellent command of English and Dari and/or Pashto
languages, both oral and written;
• Excellent inter-personal and communication skills;
• Excellent computer skills, with MS Office (Word,
Excel, Power Point);
• Willing and able to travel to other provinces; and
Motivated, flexible and capable of working
under pressure.
