About Aurum Afghanistan Mobile Money Services Company

Aurum Afghanistan Microfinance is a newly established Islamic Microfinance Institution providing Islamic Financing to low-income individuals or groups who otherwise wouldn't have access to traditional financial services. The primary goal of Aurum Microfinance is to help people become self-sufficient by providing them with the financial tools they need to start or grow small businesses, manage their finances, and improve their overall economic well-being and earn Halal income through Halal products according to Sharia rules and principles.

Job Summary

Aurum Afghanistan Microfinance Institution is dedicated to providing high-quality Islamic financial services under Murabaha to underserved communities, including both males and females. We ensure that our operations comply with Shariah principles. We are seeking a qualified Shariah Advisor/Trainer to join our team and help us maintain our commitment to ethical and compliant Islamic financial practices.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Ensure that all Islamic financing products, operations, and activities of the Aurum Afghanistan comply with Shariah principles.
  • Develop and implement Shariah-compliant risk management policies and procedures.
  • Review financing proposals, agreements, process flows, checklists, and manuals to ensure Shariah compliance and suggest necessary improvements.
  • Assess Shariah training needs for the institution and assist in developing and delivering training programs on Murabaha, Mudharabah, Musharakah… etc. for staff.
  • Monitor and review the work of the Shariah Compliance function to ensure, charities, profit disbursements, and reserves treatments follow Shariah principles.
  • Prepare and submit quarterly Shariah review reports and any other required reports to the CEO/Board.
  • Maintain sound coordination with other business heads to achieve the institution's objectives.
  • Foster a service culture focused on customer intimacy and operational excellence.
  • Review financing cases before financing committees
  • Serve as a member of relevant committees as required by the institution.


Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Islamic Studies, CSAA, Finance, or related field; Master's degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in Shariah advisory of Islamic finance.
  • Relevant Shariah certifications (e.g., AAOIFI, IFSB) are preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of Shariah principles, excellent communication and presentation skills, ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficiency in English and local language(s) is required.
  •  travels to Kabul and other Province.
