Under the supervision of the Shipping Supervisor, the incumbent is responsible for handling all administrative and logistical support of all official shipments, including Household Effects (HHE), Unaccompanied Air Baggage (UAB) Consumables Shipments (CNS), and customs clearance of Government-Owned Vehicles (GOV), USG supplies and equipment and special project shipments (OBO, construction, ATA, Embassy Annex, INL and others). General Services Office shipping and Customs handles over 4000 shipments per year valued over $400 million and arriving by (Air, Sea, and Land) for all 41 agencies subscribed to Shipping and Customs services under ICASS.

Education: Completion of secondary (high) school is required.
Experience: Three years of experience in transportation and logistics is required.
Language: Level III (Good Working Knowledge) English, Dari; and Pashto is required.
Knowledge: The incumbent must have good knowledge of packing and shipping regulation, knowledge of customs regulation, airport and border customs clearance procedures; should have knowledge of Department of State and Department of Defense shipping and transportation regulations and procedures regarding shipment of personal effect and official property.
Abilities and Skills: The incumbent must have excellent computer knowledge, including MS program package, share point, eservices and DOS packing contract language.
