About AISA

Job Summary

The Site Engineer under supervision and direction of project manager supervise the construction works progress at the site, control quality of construction material and the execution of the construction work., write inspection and eyewitness report in project journal including result of testing carried out in the Labs.

Duties & Responsibilities

1. Make sure the construction works are in compliance with the technical specification, drawings and contract terms and condition.
2. Monitor the contractor QA/QC program including testing materials and insure that the quality of materials meet the project requirements.
3. Conduct daily field inspections and monitoring work in progress and assures the work meets the requirements of the plans and specifications and good work practice standards.
4. Determine field changes, design engineering changes, and non-conformances.
5. Review the contractor's work plan and make sure the schedule is followed.
6. Plan and recommend procedures to be implemented by the contractor to assure construction operations are within requirements of engineering design and specifications.
7. Work with contractor engineering and operating personnel to coordinate construction activities.
8. Be able to stay in and travel at the project site and where it’s necessary in connection to project activities
9. Do other duties as assigned by project manager/ AISA top management.

Job Requirements

Education:


MSc or BSc in Engineering (preferred Civil).

Experience:


At least two years relevant field.

Having knowledge of reading, interpreting and implementing the engineering and technical drawings and specifications.

Very well knowledge of construction quality management, safety, construction codes and etc

Familiarity and clear understanding of ASTM, ASHTO, IBC codes

Understanding and practical knowledge of related laws and other regulations

Language Requirements:


Fluency in both written and spoken English, Pashtu and Dari
