About Afghanistan Cricket Board

Job Summary

Photographers will be responsible to use his/her artistic and technical expertise, creativity, and composition skills to produce and preserve images that visually tell a story or record an event. The majority of their work is undertaken 'on location', so travel and irregular working hours are common features of the job.

Duties & Responsibilities


Photographing sportspeople and teams, including action shots during games, matches and events, as well as pictures before and afterwards;

Working with sports writers and editors to discuss what kind of images they need;

developing skills and expertise to use specialist technical equipment, including high-spec zoom lenses, as the action is often taking place at a distance;

Using specialized and expensive equipment suitable for low-light and difficult weather conditions;

Developing an interest in, and/or good working knowledge of, the sport being covered, in order to shoot the most appropriate or marketable shots;

Being prepared to wait patiently for the action, and then to move very fast when it happens.

Market and advertise services to attract stakeholders and clients.

Editing and retouching images and writing location and caption in Pashto and English with photo galleries.

Produce and reproduces pictures and contents for Afghanistan Cricket Board media and marketing department.

Researching, making contacts and marketing ACB produces.

Enhance the subject’s appearance with natural or artificial light

Use photo enhancing software

Maintain a digital portfolio, often on a website, to demonstrate work.

Job Requirements

Knowledge of lighting, positioning and camera technique; photo editing expertise; maintain a dynamic photographic portfolio
Willingness to be flexible in hours and days worked over the cricket season.
