Job Summary

The Stock assistant is responsible for the preservation, maintenance, reporting, and distribution of items present and incoming in the Stock. Additionally, they must prepare distribution and inventory reports and present them to superiors, as well as organize and categorize materials and items.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Receiving and storing inventory in a stockroom.
  • Ensuring products are safely packaged and properly distributed.
  • Carrying out periodic inventory audits.
  • Organizing the stockroom or warehouse, ensuring the accurate labelling, placement, arrangement and cleanliness of goods.
  • Checking stock levels and ordering new stock.
  • Answering customer queries, either online or face-to-face.
  • Updating stock information on computer systems.
  • Providing administrative assistance to Admin/Finance team.
  • Providing assistance in preparing training packages.
  • Weekly and monthly update report of inventory to his/her supervisor.
  • Perform periodically monitoring and physical check for the various consumable and fixed asset as required.
  • Ensure all the items are received through proper documentation i.e. delivery report form, goods received note in coordination with procurement unit.

Job Requirements

  • University degree in a relevant discipline will be an asset.
  • Experience:
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in storekeeper and warehouse keeper positions

Skills:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills in Dari, Pashto and English
  • Able to operate MS office computer programs (Windows, Word, Excel and Email)
  • Able to work under pressure and prioritize tasks.
  • Able to take initiative and think strategically
  • Pashto & Dari Fluent, English very good.
