Job Summary

• Operating and maintaining studio equipment

• Checkup the system sources and destination to work properly in production switcher and communicate with On-air to confirm the quality of studio feed

Duties & Responsibilities

• Operating and maintaining studio equipment

• Checkup the system sources and destination to work properly in production switcher and communicate with On-air to confirm the quality of studio feed

• Supervise the entire operation (Sound, Light, Camera, etc.

• Managing timing for maintenance, setup and set down of each show

• Handling all live and pre-recorded output

• Ensuring that television spots are broadcast in a timely

• Take care and arrange the cameras shots, colour, contrast, brightness and IRS etc.

• Consult with client and Directors and other crew and staff members to discuss the show rundown

• Switches video sources and given direction at the same time during live broadcasts

• Performs other related duties as assigned by line manager


Job Requirements

• Diploma in IT or related field

• 2+ years of experience as studio operator

• Able to understand internal/external problem resolution techniques inside studios

• Able to perform all duties under high stress situations and conditions

• Acts professionally and as a positive force in the team environment

• Ability to work a flexible schedule on a regular basis

• Knowledge of current technological developments/trends in area of expertise

• Knowledge of DTV colour television signal standards

• Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing in Dari, Pashto and English

• Ability to acquire knowledge of studio and remote broadcasting processes and procedures

• Ability to test and evaluate audio/visual signal quality at the point of production, transmission, and reception

• Ability to operate computer-controlled satellite, KU, and C-Band downlink and uplink equipment

• Flexible to work on rotational shifts

• Ability to use adobe audition 3rd and 6th version, familiar to use studio equipment

• Check-up the entire technical Equipment to work properly and get ready for live shows
