Action Against Hunger (AAH) is a Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) that was created in France in 1979. AAH has been active in Afghanistan in the medical, nutrition, food security, water and sanitation and Mental Health fields since 1995.

Job Summary

This job description may be subject to permanent modifications resulting from developments in activities. Duties & Responsibilities

Objective 1: Ensure quality services: supervision, monitoring and follow up of the Mobile team activities

-         Ensure the mobile staffs received training and capacity building to do provide quality services

-         Ensure mobile clinic guideline is following

-         Ensure the team to follow the IMAM guideline during the services of the nutrition activities (admissions, FU, transfer…),

-         Support the team on medical consultation, IMNCI, ANC/PNC care, SAM 1^st consultation,

-         Ensure psychosocial counselling is conduct and following the

-         Make sure that daily, weekly and monthly record of beneficiaries is in place and fulfill efficiently.

Objective 2 : Management of supply :

Activities :

-         Prepare the medical and nutrition requisitions for mobile team activities (RUTF and medications).

-         Follow up on the daily, weekly, monthly consumption,

-         Manage the box of medical box and medical equipment in coordination with logistic;

-         Ensure DPM, PM receive the needs and reports on RUTF, RUSF, Super cereal,

Objective 3 : Team management :

Activities :

-         Train the team in the rules of hygiene, prescriptions and medical supervision ;

-         Work in team with the nurses, measurer and the registrar ;

-         Establish a work plan for his team ;

-         Control the planning of his team ;

-         In case of absence of a direct team members, manage who will take over the activities

-         Organize training sessions ;

-         Carry out appraisal interviews

Objective 4 : Reporting and external reporting

-         Ensure all data are provide on weekly and on monthly, participate to the APR

-         Analyze mobile clinic activities and proposed solution when needs

-         Coordinate with the community leaders where the mobile clinic provide services,

-         Participate to the APR

Job Requirements

Educational / Professional Background :

-       Graduated degree Medical Doctor

At least 2 years’ experience in the field of health and nutrition.

• Previous experiences working in nutrition activities (OPD, TFU….) 
• Organisation skills are necessary.
• Ability to manage staff according to local culture
• Ability to use Microsoft Word, Excel
• Fluent in Dari and/or Pashto, if possible English

Knowledge of the targeted area would be an asset
