ACTIN AGAINST HUNGER (AAH), Multi Location
Responsible for the smooth and accurate running of the SMART Survey. Organization and supervision of the survey teams daily work in the area of the survey.
Objective 1: Ensure the smooth and accurate running of the SMART Survey.
Activities:
Participate in reviewing questionnaires
Ensure that protocols/ Consent forms are strictly followed and implemented;
Ensure that the objectives of the survey are reached;
Ensure the smooth-running of the survey under any expected circumstances;
Manage cluster and household selection procedures ;
Ensure proper household selection procedures are followed
Manage logistics in the field (vehicles, survey equipment’s)
Responsible for quality control of the data collected by the team ;
Check all questionnaires for completeness, correct possible errors with the surveyors before leaving each cluster; and train his team if any mistakes;
Report daily to the SMART PM;
Ensure that households with missing data are revisited before leaving the cluster the same day;
Propose possible improvements;
Objective 2: Manage survey teams
Activities:
Ensure that the methodologies are well understand and applied by the team survey;
Elaborate the team’s work schedule and monitoring activities of his team;
Supervising team’s daily work. (Work performance/ working time/breaks/lunch);
Propose solution to solve any problem faced and report them to the direct supervisor;
Ensure good communication within the team;
Report back to the SMART PM each evening on number of questionnaires completed;
Follow absences, late coming and/ or leaves and report them to the programme manager;
Ensure technical support to the team;
Ensure security of team members;
Objective 3: Reporting to the SMART PM
Activities:
Collect, check for quality and deliver completed questionnaires each evening;
Provide a summary written daily reports;
Reports any problems encountered in the running of the survey and within the team;
Objective 4 : Represent the Organization when liaising with stakeholders:
Activities :
Represent ACF organisation on the field and act as a link between the organization and the community;
Present the project to the different local partners (community, local authorities, other NGOs, community leaders);
Ensure that ACF activities are well understand by the community and stakeholders (sensitize on ACF intervention);
Respect different local partners (population, local authorities, other NGOs, community leaders);
Maintain good relations between the team and the population;
Respect ACF Charter
University Diploma and at least 1 year of similar experience in nutrition/food security / water and sanitation in the humanitarian field.
Very good analytical, organisational, planning and reactivity skills
Good management capacities, team leadership spirit and Humanitarian spirit
Good communication and representation skills
Capacity to manage priorities, creativity, flexibility;
Experience implementing and supervising household surveys.
Knowledge of nutrition is a plus
Languages: Fluent in English (written, spoken, read). Fluent in Dari (written, spoken, read)
Good computer skills and good redaction skills
Sense of confidentiality
Agree to travel at different locations required ( BALKH PROVINCE )
