Job Summary

The Systems Analyst will be responsible for the implementation and support of business information systems and Enterprise Resource Planning Systems (ERP) for different clients and companies. The systems analyst will be working alongside other systems analysts in leading communications with clients to identify problems and opportunities within a client’s organization and ultimately provide solutions using software and ERP platforms that help achieve desired outcomes and objectives. The Systems Analyst will be mainly working with ERP implementations, but will also be assigned to lead solution implementations in other software platforms as required. The business analyst will act as a liaison between the clients and the software development team responsible for the development and customization of the required solution. The responsibilities for the system analyst will vary between projects, but they will mainly revolve around collecting and analyzing user and software requirements, consulting on solution implementations, providing training and coaching to clients, and taking part in deploying and configuring solutions/systems to clients and delivering support post-deployments.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • The systems analyst will have the following general responsibilities:
  • Evaluating clients’ business processes, anticipating requirements, uncovering areas for improvement, and developing and implementing solutions.
  • Perform software and system requirement analysis and gathering, leading ongoing reviews of business processes and developing optimization strategies.
  • Leading and conducting meetings and presentations to share ideas and findings with regards to a client’s solution implementation.
  • Documenting and communicating requirements, solution strategies, and other technical documentation as required.
  •  Document requirements in the form of user stories or software requirement specification documents to be communicated with developers for each solution implemented.
  • Develop prototypes and mockups for specific features and workflows within a given implementation.
  • Effectively communicating your insights and plans to cross-functional team members and management.
  • Gathering critical information from meetings with various stakeholders and producing useful reports.
  • Working closely with clients, technicians, software developers, QA officers, and other teams, and managerial staff within and outside of NETLINKS.
  • Providing training sessions to client staff for solutions being implemented.
  • Performing Quality Assurance and Testing on solutions, and report issues found.
  • Assist with data cleansing and data import of customer data when implementing new solutions.
  • Lead the configuration, deployment, and setup of client solutions.
  • Assist with managing projects, developing project plans, and monitoring performance.
  • Updating, implementing, and maintaining procedures within the Enterprise Solutions department.
  • Serving as a liaison between stakeholders and users.
  • Assist with monitoring deliverables and ensuring timely completion of projects.

In addition, the Systems Analyst will have the following responsibilities with ERP-based implementations:

  • Become fully acquainted and proficient with the ERP solutions used within NETLINKS, learn their standard workflows and features after being trained on the solution at NETLINKS.
  • Conduct Gap Analysis to identify gaps between requirements and what an ERP solution offers out of the box.
  • Document and communicate customizations and custom development requests for any given Odoo implementation.
  • Lead training sessions for numerous ERP modules and apps to clients.
  • Conduct data import and data cleansing of customer data and import them to the ERP system.
  • Lead ERP database setup and configuration and ensure apps reflect customer workflows and requirements.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science or Information Technology with some domain knowledge in accounting and finance, human resources management, and operations management.
  • 2 years of relevant work experience in systems analysis and design and/or in enterprise applications development/implementation, software quality assurance, and testing
