OFOQ-E-SABZ Private School with three branches in different locations (Kabul: Qasaba and Karti Parwan ) Panjshir: Bazarak Khas) is a modern educational system that was established in 1392 in Qasaba Kabul Afghanistan. Job Summary

To teach and educate students according to guidelines provided by OFOQ-E-SABZ private school under the overall guidance of the competent education authority.

Duties & Responsibilities

·        Show a commitment to the development of all students in the classroom

·        Teach and support student achievement in the subject at hand

·        Act equitably toward all students, without discrimination, and with intrinsic respect

·        Provide an environment ready for the student to learn with appropriate structures and routines in place

·        Encourage students to be problem-solvers and contributing members of a changing global society now and in post-secondary

·        Have a deep knowledge of the subject matter, education legislation, Common Core standard, and curriculum

·        Have a ‘toolkit' of effective teaching practices geared toward the grade level and subject at hand

·        Have appropriate visuals, presentations, and manipulatives as appropriate

·        Deploy a variety of effective classroom management strategies geared toward the students

·        Practice a variety of assessment and evaluation techniques to ensure that teaching practice is effective

·        Understand how each individual student learns, and how this can influence academic achievement

·        Communicate proactively and effectively with fellow-teachers, parents, students, and administration

·        Report at regular intervals on student progress in line with administrative standards

·        Adapt and improve teaching practice over time through self-reflection, student need, and accredited professional development

·        Use technology in the classroom as appropriate and for administrative purposes

·        Collaborate with colleagues within the department, curriculum consultants, and other learning partners

·        Engage in ongoing professional development to improve subject knowledge and practice

·        Understand teacher performance review grading and strive to remediate gaps in practice

·        Keep documentation regarding classroom attendance, lesson planning, tuition progress, and student behavior

·        Support staff meetings to encourage goals and operation of the school

·        Support extracurricular and co-curricular activities to enhance student development and their enthusiasm for collaborative activity as well as the subject matter at hand

·        Set rigorous academic and time management goals for students to achieve

·        Praise students to acknowledge their academic development and achievements

·        Work collaboratively with students and their families to achieve best behavioral and academic outcomes

·        Assist departmental planning, programming, and curriculum development as needed

·        Be aware of each students' learning needs; prepare to alter instructional methods to accommodate

·        Guide activities and learning opportunities by student interest, classroom dynamic, and events in the world

·        Teach students about influencing social, cultural, and historical factors as they apply to classroom subject matter

·        Be ready to receiving teaching feedback and support from teaching partners and administration

·        Demonstrate creativity and economy while maximizing student experience; seek additional sources of funding and materials where appropriate

·        Be active listeners

·        Supervise students outside of the classroom—for example, during lunchtime or break

·        High school teachers help prepare students for life after graduation. They teach academic lessons and various skills that students will need to attend college or to enter the job market.

·        Teachers of English as a second language (ESL) or English for speakers of other languages (ESOL) work exclusively with students who are learning the English language. These teachers work with students individually or in groups to help them improve their English language skills and help them with assignments for other classes.

·        Teachers must be comfortable with using and learning new technology. With parents, they may use text-messaging applications to communicate about students’ assignments and upcoming events. With students, teachers may create websites or discussion boards to present information and to expand a lesson taught in class.

·        Teachers may find it rewarding to watch students develop new skills and gain an appreciation for knowledge.

·        Experienced teachers may advance to serve as mentors to new teachers; they may also become a lead teacher. In these positions, they help less experienced teachers improve their teaching skills.

High school teachers should also possess the following specific qualities:

·        Communication skills. Teachers must collaborate with other teachers and special education teachers. In addition, teachers need to discuss students’ needs with parents and administrators through text messaging and email. The teachers must be familiar with technology

·        Patience. Working with students of different abilities and backgrounds can be difficult. High school teachers must be patient when students struggle with material.

·        Resourcefulness. High school teachers need to explain difficult concepts in terms students can understand. In addition, they must be able to engage students in learning and adapt lessons to each student’s needs. 

Job Requirements

OFOQ-E-SABZ private school expects all teachers to have minimum academic qualifications of bachelor degrees in his/her major.

1.     A four-year college degree

2.     Ability to speak, write, and communicate English properly ( ENG & Computer are MUST)

3.     A regular teaching certificate/license

4.     Minimum 2 years of work experience in teaching 


§ Communication Skills: You must be able to speak clearly to students, other teachers, parents and administration officials.

§ Instruction Skills: You will have to explain new ideas and unfamiliar concepts with authority and in a clear and concise way so that students can understand. You must work to keep the students' attention

§ Writing Skills: Teachers write progress reports, notes home, and in the case of postsecondary teachers, publish research. Writing skills are critical.

§ Patience: The students you work with will have different backgrounds and abilities. Patience will help teachers deal with students who act out or have trouble following the material.

§ Creativity: Teachers have to find ways to involve students into their lessons. Additionally, teachers may have to work with different learning styles to get the most out of each student.

§ People Skills: Engaging parents and creating healthy relationships with students and faculty will help create a quality learning environment.
