Job Summary

Telephone interviewers collect information for academic research. The position involves contacting and asking question of respondents over the telephone. Survey questions are standardized and must be read exactly as written. All of the information gathered for the surveys is kept confidential, and interviewers are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of the information they gather. Training Is provided and must be completed before interviewing begins.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Collecting information from EA customers as well as competition customers
• Conducting tele marketing campaigns as per management request
• Conducting tele sales campaigns as per management request
• Entering the collected data using excel and power point
• Revising the collected data before sending it to tele-survey supervisor to ensure that the best quality are provided
• Analyzing the collected data as per management request.

Job Requirements

Telephone surveyors must speak clearly and follow as script to protect the integrity of their survey, as most questionnaires are standardized to prevent bias. They must persuade people to take the survey, and, at the same time, maintain a pleasant and conversational tone.

Computer Skills:

Telephone surveys conduct most surveys using computer-assisted dialing and computers to collect and store data. As a telephone surveyor, you must learn how to use such equipment quickly and efficiently. Most jobs also require above-average typing skills.
Quick Thinker:

Telephone surveys must think quickly on their feet. This is important because not every survey moves along in the same way. Interviewers often must move to different parts of the script based on the answer of the respondent.
