In this context, MSF is recruiting Topographer / Survey Engineer
MAIN PURPOSE
Ensure the marking and placement of all structures (buildings, networking and all types of needed structures), for the construction teams to start their works. The activities include all land surveys and mapping
Coordinate, implement and supervise, ensuring all technical aspects (structures properly placed, records are kept, maps are updated) for the construction works to according to schedule under the supervision of the Logistics Team Leader.
TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Locating and siting the structure/ building/infrastructures on the basis of land registry documents and surveying the characteristic points of the terrain
- Drawing up of layout plans, then setting out the buildings and structures in their setting
- Prepare and maintain sketches, maps and reports of surveys in order to describe, certify and assume liability for work performed
- Verify the accuracy of survey data, including measurements and calculations conducted at survey sites
- Develop as-built drawings of all changes made to the Masterplan and layouts of buildings and networking structures
- Ensure the physical organization of equipment and tools used in land survey activities (Stock inventories; receiving, processing and quality control of orders; Check that the amounts received are recorded)
- Give regular feedback to the line manager and report directly any issue or incident
- In order to ensure the coverage of the human resources needs and maintain high standards of quality, organize and coordinate the activities of team supervised (week’s schedule, absences, etc.), communicate with the HR Admin department all relevant information in due time, evaluate performance, define and ensure the needs for training
- Perform hands-on tasks as part of the team whenever required or needed in order to optimize the resources and to contribute with his/her knowledge and experience
- Participate in monthly reports according to guidelines
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Education
- University degree in Geodesy Engineering
- Proficient user of MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) essential
- Proficient user of AutoCAD drawing program essential
Experience
- Other experience in a similar position for a period of at least 2 years (marking and placement of construction structures) essential
- MSF experience desirable
Languages
- Dari/Pashtu: oral and written essential
- English: oral and written essential
WORKING HOURS AND SALARY Full Time 40 hours a week: 5 days a week
Salary: The gross salary for this position is 32,850 AFN (non-negotiable)
