Collect, analyze, and interpret geographic information provided by geodetic surveys, aerial photographs, and satellite data.
Research, study, and prepare maps and other spatial data in digital or graphic form for legal, social, political, educational, and design purposes.
Work with Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and in close collaboration with the MIS/GIS expert
Design and evaluate algorithms, data structures, and user interfaces for GIS and mapping systems.
Carry out small topography and/or small land surveying tasks for rural infrastructures undertaken by project;
Coordinate, supervise and provide oversight with contracting firms hired for topographical & surveying works;
Assist in land titling issues related to rural development and water & farming structures
Establish and maintain strong working relationships with partners, communities, and rural organizations;
Prepare technical and progress reports.
Four years or more of experience in a similar position.
Bachelor’s or MA degree required (Topography & Surveying, Geographer (GIS)).
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook and PowerPoint in Excel and other MS office applications.
Strong organizational, analytical and interpersonal skills.
Strong verbal and written communication skills in English, Pashto and Dari
Self-motivated to learn new concepts and participate in new projects.
Must be capable of working both individually and as part of a team to undertake tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent interpersonal skills, including patience, diplomacy, willingness to listen and respect for male and female colleagues.
