Duties & Responsibilities

Standard and timely translation of Legal Documents from English into Dari/Pashto and vice versa.

Interpret expertly during meetings, conferences and seminars.

Interpret simultaneously in meetings and workshops.

Work with translators from other organizations.

Maintain hard and soft copies of the documents.

Take on other related responsibilities delegated by Section Leader.

Job Requirements

Candidate must have at least 2 years professional experience in translation field or equivalent. Experience in legal translation is a plus. Candidate must understand legal terminology. Candidate must be a high school graduate. Excellent fluency in English, Dari and Pashtu, verbal and written, is required. Candidate must have computer literacy and knowledge and work experience in software applications of MS Office Package. Candidate must be team and detail oriented. Education – preference may be given to those with associate’s degree or bachelor's degree.

Ability to speak and write English, Dari and Pashtu

Knowledge of and work experience with MS Office Package and internet.
