Job Summary

Awista Knowledge Village (AKV) Foreign Language Institute (FLI) requires the services of 5 consultants to perform Arabic to Dari and Pashto and Dari& Pashto to Arabic translation. The consultant must have the following qualifications to be eligible for this position:

Duties & Responsibilities

The duties and responsibilities of the Arabic Translator are as follows but not limited to:

Provide written translation services from Dari & Pashto to Arabic and Arabic to Dari& Pashto;

Translate Legislation, Reports, Research Papers, Books, and Journals;

Research and develop appropriate glossaries, and terminologies;

Understand the context and develop appropriate translation material;

Develop an appropriate technical understanding of the material to be translated;

Ensure the timed delivery of translated and edited material;

Ensure accuracy and integrity of translation;

Any other related task assigned by the Project Manager;

Job Requirements

At least 5 years of experience in Dari & Pashto to Arabic and Arabic to Dari& Pashto;
Excellent reading, Speaking, writing, and comprehension skills in Arabic, Dari and Pashto;
At least a Bachelor degree in Arabic or Dari& Pashto Literature;
Proficiency in Microsoft Word and ability to type at a reasonable pace;
Must be able to meet tight deadlines and work long hours occasionally;
