Job Summary

Translator (Dari, Pashto, English)
The position is for a full time/part time translator who will be responsible for translation and administrative duties as described below. A major focus of the work will be to support an Internews project partner in the translation of documents for a trilingual webpage (Dari, Pashto, English) and other related materials. Hours of work for the part time position is 8 AM to 12:00 PM , and full time from 8 AM to 5 PM.

Duties & Responsibilities

Essential duties include but are not limited to the following:


Accurate and timely translation of documents and other materials into Pashto/ Dari/English as required

Edit and review documents with attention to detail in all languages

Maintain records of all translations

Assist Internews and the project partner with all related matters in support of the workplan

Assist with administrative duties as required

Any other duties as assigned

Job Requirements

Minimum 3 years\' work experience as a translator with national/international or government organizations

Good oral and written communication skills in English, Dari and Pashto

Ability to translate documents in Dari, Pashto and English

Ability to Interpret in Pashto, Dari and English at events, if required

Ability to plan and schedule work and keep to deadlines

Ability to follow instructions and perform tasks efficiently

Computer skills, including typing in English, Dari and Pashto. Familiar with MS office: Word, Outlook, and Internet

Experience and/or interest in working on civil society issues

Experience and/or interest in working on civil society issues
