About Afghanistan High Security Printing Compnay

Based on a Cabinet Decision of December 2018, the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan, with support of the German Development Cooperation, is establishing a new company, Afghanistan High Security Printing (AHSP), as the sole provider of high security documents in Afghanistan.

The company was registered in February 2019 and is now hiring with the short-term goal to begin commercial production in early 2020, and the long-term goal to become a significant presence in regional markets. It is equipped with the latest tools and modern machinery and is looking for a dynamic team of leaders and support staff to assure timely implementation of its goals.

Job Summary

Objective of the Role

The Main Task of transport officer is to carry out tasks such as provision and maintenance of the vehicles, manage diverse transport operations such as overseeing vehicles.

Duties & Responsibilities

Tasks and responsibilities include to:

• Coordinate with all department managers to determine transport requirements and schedule transport to meet them.
• Assist with assessments of local transportation resources and infrastructure, and the contracting of transportation assets;
• Ensure appropriate use, distribution, maintenance, repair and utilization of all the vehicles.
• Coordinate the movement of vehicles and other transportation assets;
• Create and/or modify various systems to manage the movement of vehicles and personnel;
• Keep documents current such as registration, vehicle logs, daily inspection reports, etc.
• Ensure sufficient supply of fuel and oil.
• Manage fuel requests, fuel stocks (fuel farm or supplier agreements) and spare parts inventories;
• Produce monthly fuel and vehicle use reports, “work orders,” etc. 
• Train and supervise drivers. 
• Transport officer is also required to evaluate employee performance and coordinating the individual yearly work plans for the entire unit and other employees working in the transport department of that area.

·        Valid driver’s license and clean driving record

• Any other task assigned by supervisor

AHSP is a young company with a small staff, where versatility is highly prized. All staff is expected to acquire skills that allow them to fill in for selected other positions, should the regular staff in that position be absent for illness or other reason. 

Job Requirements

Education and Experience

·        At least a 14th graduate of business administration, bachelor degree is preferred Business Administration,Management or any other relevant studies from a recognized university. Master degree is preferred.

Qualifications and Skills

·        Minimum 4 years’ experience managing a transport department

·        Recognized ability to work as part of a team

·        Significant experience in fleet management and / or logistics

·        Understanding of policies and procedures governing the management of motorized assets and the contracting of transportation services

·        Valid driver’s license and clean driving record

·        Strong negotiating skills

·        Demonstrated rational and logical thinking; ability to creatively and quickly find solutions to problems

·        Capable of working under pressure in a fast-paced environment

·        Flexible and adaptable approach to shift patterns and hours of work, ability to work flexible hours from time to time

·        The flexibility and independence to work in a changing environment.

Fluent in English and Dari / Pashtu
